Well, first off, we never really established that he was dead, did we?
We needed him still. As much as we really didn't like the character that much, we needed him because he's the friction, the tension, not necessarily the bad guy here - but not the all-around good guy either. And he's about to catapult them all into a new adventure filled with danger, horror, and a little bit of love.
Of course, you're all also probably wondering something else - why Leilani acknowledges him with all the emotion of someone who, in KJ''s words, "found out she had black olives and not green olives on her favorite sandwich." *^^*
Well, like we've said many times, it's been 16 years...
We WILL eventually get into the past again, folks, we promise. But now's not the time.
There is great evil coming...
