VOTE for Splash Story Art in February

I'm really happy that Mihari on Furaffinity could help us work out some website woes, and as a small gesture, I've included her beautiful cheetah as the guest this month. (upon her final approval, of course)

"Malana whipped her head around startled by the intruder swimming headlong towards her, and tried immediately to react with her spear, but the cheetah grabbed it to twist it away from the sea otter. Malana's grip was firm, and when Mihari realized a definite disadvantage this deep under the sea, she let go of the spear and swam back up for the surface as fast as she could. Malana watched her go, bared her fangs, and swam up after her. Not twenty feet from the surface, Malana caught Mihari around the ankle and tried to yank her back down to a watery doom, but the cheetah was quick. With a slash of her claws, Malana bubbled in pain and let go, holding her paw.

At the surface, Mihari gasped for air, coughing, and held onto the gunwale of the small canoe. "Dammit..." she muttered, panting, "She's found...the pearl bed." She climbed up weakly into the canoe and flopped face-down, still coughing and struggling to breathe. Malana's head popped up from the surface to take a gulp of air herself and Mihari glared down at her. "Those pearls belong to my father!" she shouted at the girl.

Malana smiled mischievously and challenged her. "Come get them."

Mihari growled angrily and picked up one of the oars to slam down on the otter's head but Malana had already disappeared back down again..."

Oooh, exciting, isn't it?!
