The Depths Newsletter: October 2019

Alright so, hihi everyone! We wanted to take a minute here to fill folks in on all that's going on, some good, some bad, but we're still hanging in there. *^^*

First, we can only do three pages now a month for the foreseeable future. KJ is wiped out and a page a week is just too much for us to ask, and we were never able to hire a pencil artist (a GOOD, furry one) as we hoped. So, until that situation changes, we're not doing weekly anymore. But there will be three pages a month. (just think one every 10 days or so)

Secondly, traffic has exploded on The Depths site! Our marketing efforts really are beginning to pay off. We are consistently getting approximately 40,000 users a month, and in reaching out to the "adult" sites more, we expect to run even higher soon. 

Lastly, however, the extra traffic has not resulted in extra Patreons, and that is unfortunate. We're not quite sure what to do about that, because we can't fall too much further and hope to be productive. We really wish we could say, "Yes, we do all this work writing/drawing and it's all free." Sadly, it's not. We pay KJ $150 per comic page for all the awesome work that's being done. Not to mention, writing these pages all the time, it takes a lot of effort as well, and we lose focus on other writing projects. So...we wish we could offer the comic for free, we really do...but it takes time and money,. Thankfully, we're running on just enough of both right now to stay afloat. This is why we're so grateful to all of you for helping us and incurring these costs each month. We know several of you can't keep doing it though, and we can't ask anyone to stay around if they can't or don't want to. That's why getting extra patronage has been so important to us, so that folks can drop support if they want, and not feel like they are leaving us high and dry, you know?

On the heels of that, a few of you are entitled to cameo appearances, and those will be coming very soon now. We know you're very excited about this part, and glad you were patient with us while the story was re-written (again) and unfolded. ^^
