THE DEPTHS: PAGE 75:
Panel 1:
[Leilan and David smile and wave from the boat deck, leaning just slightly over the rail.]
CAPTION: A few days later…
Panel 2:
[David starts to nuzzle her neck affectionately, while Leilani churrs with delight and her eyes close.]
Panel 3:
[David stops nuzzling as he sees Malana looking at him none too kindly from beside Leilani.]
Panel 4:
[David goes back to just watching the water, and Leilani looks slightly sheepish as she pretends to look the other way.]
DAVID: (in thought) “Well, this is going to be fun, the three of us…”
Panel 5:
[All three turn their heads incredulously, looking stunned, as a dripping-wet, barely clothed Kalea clambers onto the deck.]
Panel 6:
[David looks even more unhappy as Malana ducks away, and Kalea slams into Leilani in a wet pounce, knocking her down.]
DAVID: “Four of us…”
KALEA: “I come too!”
LEILANI: “OOOF!”
And thus wraps up Story Arc #1. We're taking a break until August to work on the next story arc, but while we're away, "Wild Coast" will be in the offering, a short-subject comic spinoff of "The Depths" featuring Leilani's descendant. ^^
As far as Story Arc #2 goes, we'll see. We lost a lot of support in the last few months, and time (and a big marketing and advertising campaign) will tell us if we're going to continue.
