Vlog - Aging and Photoshoots
Added 2025-04-26 20:00:19 +0000 UTCI had a photoshoot that brought me face-to-face with my own aging features. To only like 10 photos out of 300 is kind of a big deal, but the bigger deal was the blow to my self-perception. I'd love to hear your thoughts on aging. Have you ever looked in the mirror and felt a pang of fear when you saw wrinkles?

2025-06-10 23:50:05 +0000 UTCSo...do I think about aging? All the time. For me, its not just a physical thing, but also an emotional existential thoughts. Sometimes its hard for me to grasp that time moves forward and I get older, and then i get depressed. And sometimes when I look in the mirror, i see little white hairs that appear on my hair and on my beard and i try to pull them out. On top of that, I feel my body telling me I can't do as much as i used to do despite having the desire to do so. SO yeah...I think about it all the time. I know through our conversations we've talked about how our country has these twisted thoughts on beauty and aging. It bugs me because I see how emotionally hurting it can be. Aging doesn't make one unattractive anymore. I know im an idealist, but hopefully we can do better with that. There have been many times where I have crushed on women who have been much older than me. I appreciate you sharing this Sarah. You're amazing, and beautiful, and just an awesome person all around. *hugs*

It's inevitable for some, genetic for some, and definitely forces you to have to do something, whatever that choice is. I'm happy to hear you're on the self love journey. Stay on it!

2025-04-27 06:07:48 +0000 UTCMy health has plummeted downwards and I'm losing my hair, so yeah, age is staring me in the face. Just learning to love myself. Sorry you dealt with that BS from the photographer. Sounds like a jerk.
