You could wrap the tail and body of the Hydra from the left, it will give a sense of “hugeness” having the tail extend across the back cover. Like it’s wrapped around the book

2022-10-30 13:32:15 +0000 UTCI think if it’s too close, it might show how derpy the hydra faces are. It’s cool for a conceptualization, but a close-up makes them look cartoonishly bad. The two looking directly forward are the most egregious examples. They look like Slipher the Sky Dragon, with one less mouth. And there’s this little beak thing. There’s some really cool Hydra artwork online that gives them either very snake-like mouths or some that are elongated and crocodilian.
