So… there’s a really grim history to Korean babies being adopted overseas. They started a program after the Korean War to place babies fathered by foreign soldiers outside the country. It… was a racial purity thing. Not great. But it was lucrative enough that they started falsifying records, telling unwed mothers that their babies were stillborn, it’s pretty dark.
