2024-10-04 13:53:20 +0000 UTCFor all that we tend to romanticize mistletoe because of its use in Christmas traditions, it’s actually highly poisonous. I imagine that’s why they have mistletoe in Halloween Town. Speaking of poison, historically it has been that almond/marzipan is the scent most often used to cover up the presence of toxins, but it’s definitely possible that cinnamon has also been used.
