I wrote an out for Troy in this chapter because if he played the Joker again, it would lessen the impact of his performance in TDK. Not to mention the Marvel situation.
Then there's the Joker movie, which many people want to see Troy in, even if at a later date.
Another reason for him not to take on this role again is that I think it would be repetitive to see Troy play the same role over and over.
Nonetheless, I'm holding this poll for you guys, but even then, if he were to play the Joker again, he'll do just one film, either TDKR or Joker, not both.

An appearance in Rises would be awesome with a cutscene showing that he got out of prison when banes troops opened black gate. With a teaser for an eventual joker movie of the period after Batman leaves Gotham. Maybe having Bruce come back to fight him or Damian Wayne taking over the mantle.
