I lowkey feel bad for Brooke. She’s just the one that gets kissed in between leyton and to her, the one to sleep with but not the one that gets the ring.. 💔 and you could see that in her face.

2025-04-18 08:40:53 +0000 UTCUghhh this episode made me dislike Lucas even more 😭 I understand that he was feeling Peyton getting away a bit but proposing was NOT the answer. They are 19...Of course she wants to try and get to her dream, climb the ladder and try and make it as a music producer. and Peyton is right: he probably would have resented her if she had said yes and he had given everything up to join her in LA. And even worse: I know he was drunk but using Brooke as second best for the THIRD TIME and making her have to reject him when she used to be in love with him and had to watch him chose her best friend over her 2 times before was an asshole move.

Yes Lucas has made some questionable decisions but that doesn’t mean he’s the villain of this show, not even close! It annoys me how this fanbase forgets all the good things he’s done like when he saved Peyton from getting raped, from dying in the school shooting, getting killed by a psycho stalker, called Jake to come back and help Peyton, supported Anna when she came out, befriended Glenda, helped get Skills on the basketball team and gave him his jersey number. He also attended Jimmy’s funeral even though he thought Jimmy killed Keith, took the fall for Nathan’s point shaving, convinced Whitey to get surgery, and he also literally saved Dan in a fire, the same man who not only abandoned him as a child, but also tormented him every chance he saw him, almost choked him to death and told him straight to his face that he shouldn’t have been born. I blame the writers for the direction they take Lucas character because it’s been too far involved in a love triangle and made him look really bad when he’s actually a great friend, brother and uncle. Sorry for the long response lol

2025-04-18 03:04:43 +0000 UTCI love this episode, but I’m a Leyton hater. I knew Lucas messed it up somehow. If my high school boyfriend sprung a proposal on me when I’m 19 I’m also turning it down. Then he has the audacity to break up with her without speaking to hear and kissing her best friend the next day. Insane. He’s my villain of this show. Dan sucks but at least he owns that he sucks. Lucas always thinks he’s the nice guy.
