Deb is definitely irritating but also I can see why she freaked out, she has lost all the other members of her family and I think she was scared of Dexter leaving too because he found his "real" family. She just wanted him to stay.

Deb was a little annoying for sure, but Dexter is literally the only family she has left and I think she felt a little threatened by this reminder that he had a different family out there that she’s not part of. Plus she seems to worship her dad and I think she felt that acknowledging this other “father” of Dexter would be a betrayal of Harry.
