I have watched Criminal Minds Evolution, I have to say I like it, but I don't like it as much as these original ones, for many reasons, but mostly it's because not all of the characters are playing in the episodes, but also because the language is worse in it and it's a lot of it, not just every once in a while.

AprilDawn

All of the cases in the show are inspired by actual serial killers. I took a college course about serial killers. It was interesting. But it took me awhile to be able to watch Criminal Minds again. Have you watched the revival of Criminal Minds? It's a lot more gruesome than the original show.

Ashley Downey

Dang it, Travis! Every single time you tear up or break down, I start bawling. I'm a blubbering mess. LOL This show gets me every time, I have two children I am constantly worrying about every day and it's because I know that the things that happen in this show may be fiction for the movie itself, but things like this do happen in real life.

AprilDawn

i'm always fine during this episode until the line "he was alive yesteray..."

We shall πŸ’œ IT πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸŽˆ πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸŽˆ I might be wrong but I think Charlies mom is John and Joan Cusakes sister Ann.

Kristina Fagan

Wooow some really strong acting performances in this one which I think played a big part of how affecting it was. Love seeing a young Evan Peters pop up! I'm glad they didn't go too deep into the victim blaming with that one mom pretty quickly changing her tune. Being someone who experienced childhood trauma I know first hand how warped your reality becomes for the sake of survival, and there is probably nothing that sets me back in my recovery more than when people who don't understand this question/scrutinize/criticize every action a victim did or did not take. Rationally I understand that people do this to protect their own sense of safety, because it's less disturbing to believe a person somehow caused their own suffering than to accept the reality of abuse. But it feels incredibly invalidating whenever people do this- hits right in that trauma wound of believing you are somehow defective. Ouch- let's not, people! I thought they were maybe going to go down the road of exploring this a bit more with Evan Peters' character- showing him being more complacent in what was going on and then showing how people react to learning that. But again, I'm kind of glad they didn't really go there! Very good episode.

You see "directed by Matthew Gray Gubler", you know to buckle up. It will be disturbing, make you cry and memorable.

Becky Mitchell

Welcome to MGG's directorial debut. He has a knack for directing really messed up and disturbing storylines

Anna Hunt

if I recall correctly the actress who played the diabolical "mother" holding the kids captive also played a diabolical "mother" holding kids captive in the movie The People Under the Stairs. She looks basically identical.

Bernd Geels

True but remember when they mentioned that they change their names ? That created doubt. For me, at least.

Travis Manning

We actually knew earlier it was Steven who died. When the woman was taking the kids away in the hearse, the girl said something like "where's Steven? They took him away".

Natalie Davis

ohhh that line "he was alive yesterday" breaks me every time. Great episode!
