The episode was funny. Chandler and Joey killed me here. I wonder how many hours they spent not getting up at all. That's silly ha ha. Also yeah, doing it in the display was not the smartest move.

Such a big age difference can be a problem in certain situations, but if neither person is underage and there is no power imbalance there's nothing technically wrong with it (as Siobhan said). However, I understand why people find it a bit creepy seeing as he has known Monica since she was a baby, is friends with her parents and she went to high school with his kids. Tom Selleck just turned 80 on Jan 29th and this episode was aired on Feb 8th 1996 (my 3rd birthday btw!), so he is 51 here. He starred in the police drama Blue Bloods, which just ended in Dec 2024 after being 14 years on the air. It's funny because Richard says he wanted to be a sheriff and the actor would later play a police officer/chief in Blue Bloods AND Jesse Stone. And before this he played a private investigator in Magnum, P.I. It's also funny when Richard answers the door and Phoebe says "It's James Bond!", because Tom was actually considered for the role earlier in his career. When I was younger I always thought that when Rachel heard the pop of the juice box she thought Ross farted but it was actually the liquid that she mistook for premature ejaculation (which doesn't really make sense since she's on top of it) 😂 And yes, the song that plays when Ross and Rachel... you know, is Wicked Game by Chris Isaak, the guy from the library that Phoebe was with when she was singing "inappropriate" songs for the kids. In the last scene where she is teaching him Smelly Cat, he sings a bit from the song.

Australopithecus isn't supposed to be in that display. No! No! No! Homo habilis was erect, Australopithecus was never fully erect! Chandler: Well, maybe he was nervous. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Like they are two consenting adults so there's nothing technically wrong with it. But I'm just a couple of years older than Monica was here and the thought of being with one of my dad's friends is the BIGGEST ick imaginable. 🤢😂
