This episode is definitely a bit of a fan favourite but it's just ok for me personally for reasons I can't yet tell you because spoilers lol. But I do love the prom video, Ross' hair and moustache are so funny. And they really do lean in to the boyfriends thing with Joey and Chandler haha. I love that. 😂😂

2025-02-02 05:46:46 +0000 UTCI love seeing people's reactions to the prom video, especially Ross, and you did not disappoint 😂 This is one of best episodes of the entire series because of it in my opinion. Rachel walking up to Ross and kissing him like that was so romantic and sweet 😭 Phoebe's "She's your lobster" line is iconic. But, unfortunately, the lobster theory is not true. Lobsters, by nature, are not monogamous and do not pair for life. A dominant male will actually mate with multiple females during encounters that last days to weeks. And I LOVE Joey and Chandler's friendship so much! I felt so sorry for Joey but Chandler felt so bad and tried so hard to make it up to him. Btw, a doubloon is an old-fashioned gold coin which was a common form of currency in the 17th and 18th century, an era sometimes called the "Golden Age of Piracy" because of its association with sunken pirate ships. With "Woah, that must have cost you quite a few doubloons!", Monica was insinuating it had a pirate-esque quality to it. Fun facts: When Courteney Cox wore her fat suit for the first time, Matthew Perry walked by her without knowing who she was. Also, Jennifer Aniston DID get a nose job because she too had a deviated septum. Along with being one of my favourites, this is considered by many critics and fans to be the best episode of the series. It is also David Schwimmer's favourite.

Chandler: Ah, so how many cameras are actually on you? Ross: See, in the tank, holding claws. Phoebe, will you help me out here? Phoebe: Do the claws again 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 This episode is so funny! Phoebe is adorable with the lobster thing throughout this episode ❤️❤️❤️ Ross gets the assist from the prom video!
