Hey Travis! Just letting you know, I think there's a little problem with Once Upon a Time season 1 in the archives. Seems only the pilot is there. I don't know if this is something you can fix or not but I'd really appreciate you checking it out. I was really looking forward to seeing those videos! :)

yeahhh it is like a little crazy how bad jacinda’s actress is in this role 🫢 i agree with you like she feels stiff and like idk uncommitted or uncomfortable like i don’t know if she just like couldn’t give herself over to the fantasy and whimsy of the show or something but she really does kinda take me out of it every scene she’s in. even her scenes with tiana, she doesn’t give me best friends who’ve fought a war and lived together for years vibes; and lowkey her kid is out acting her 😭 And that’s why i love alice’s character so much because i so believe it. her actress is so charming and plays her with great like depth and there’s an obvious connection to the material. idk literally everyone else in this season is more convincing and fun to watch than cinderella

Breadcrumbs- Thank you so much for another fantastic reaction, for another one of my favorite episodes from season seven, Travis!!! I really love this episode!! Simply for the adventure and the fun of it! Because I love, love, love, any adventure when Hook and Wish Hook, and Henry work together!!! And... It's fantastic to see Smee and Black Beard return again! And for whatever reason... I've just always loved seeing any version of Hook's rivalry with Black Beard, because they're always entertaining and fun! Plus... I really love the twist with Nick not only turning out to be the Candy Killer, but I also very much love the even deeper twist with him turning out to be Hansel, from a different adaptation of the Hansel and Gretel story we get back in season one's episode, titled... True North. In this case, I actually love that he's not just Jack the Giant Slayer, or Jack and the Beanstalk, like we've believed him to be ever since his character is first introduced back in this season's episode, titled... Pretty in Blue. Because this reveals to us the viewers, what Gretel means in the previous episode, titled... Sisterhood, when she speaks about her brother, and how he has been living under the guise of a different name and identity all these years, and that he suffered terribly at the hands of a witch. But with all of this being said... I will come back to this storyline shortly... First... I am happy that this episode begins with one of my favorite storylines throughout the episode! With the backstory between Wish Hook and Henry. And I really like that it is a backstory that takes place before Henry and Ella married, as Henry searches for a ring with a good story behind it in hope of trying to prove himself to be a hero like Emma, Charming, and Snow. This storyline, and Henry's overall story arc this season has been all about Henry trying to discover himself and his struggle to find his own story so that he doesn't feel like he's just some random character without his own story within someone else's story. He doesn't want to be just the Savior's son, or Snow White's and Prince Charming's grandson. Like so many characters, Henry has really struggled with finding himself, despite having become the Author back in season four's two part finale episodes, titled... Operation Mongoose Part One and Operation Mongoose Part Two. I also absolutely love that Wish Hook is the one helping Henry to find himself now too, just as Killian has done for him as well, in all the years since Killian first arrived in Storybrooke and started becoming a hero!! :) When we see this storyline continue, we find out that Wish Hook has a map into Davy Jones' locker, which yes... This is absolutely a nod to Disney's, Pirates of the Caribbean movies. The whole whirlpool idea is a nod to the third movie within the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise... At World's End, where there is a huge battle between our heroes and the pirates over a huge whirlpool, or better known as a maelstrom. We've already had a couple of episodes in Once Upon a Time season six, where we get to see the Craken known from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. In season six's episodes, titled... Dark Waters and A Wondrous Place. So, I am happy we get to see a giant maelstrom, or whirlpool here in this episode! And overall... This storyline throughout this episode is marvelous! But what's even more marvelous... I love that Davy Jones' Locker here in Once Upon a Time, is actually a treasure chest full of treasures of immeasurable value, including a ring Davy Jones had once given to his True Love. Brilliant!! I also really love that we get to see Black Beard again. I am really happy to see him return again, because he's just a fun character despite him being a bit of a wonky kind of villain. I've just always really loved the rivalry between him and Hook. Any version of these characters. Now... This version of Black Beard could also be from the Wish Realm just like Wish Hook is from. The age differences and timelines for these three characters has always been a bit wonky, but so entertaining!! So, I really don't care about the wonkiness of the possible age mistakes. Although... This version of him could also actually the original version of Black Beard, whom we last see with Killian when they become trapped in Neverland during season six's episode, titled... Mother's Little Helper. Because if this is so, then this would actually explain the age difference between these two pirate captains much better. It would explain why Black Beard still appears as young as ever, because him having been trapped in Neverland for a time would have meant that he didn't age at all while there. And somehow, Black Beard must have finally somehow escaped Neverland and crossed paths with Wish Hook. Unfortunately, Black Beard supposedly ends up with the Jolly Roger after Wish Hook had turned it over to Smee, who has apparently been forced to hand it over to him in some kind of deal Wish Hook had made with Black Beard. With all this being said... I love how Wish Hook and Henry sneak aboard the Jolly Roger so they can take the ship back. It's funny that they have to hide within two fish barrels. Unfortunately for them, they are caught right away after they find Smee, and it turns out that very few men appear to still be loyal to Wish Hook. But I love seeing Wish Hook be very protective of Henry, by announcing he is Prince Henry of Storybrooke, and that Black Beard right away believes him, even if he still threatens to kill Henry later on once they find Davy Jones' Locker. However, then we learn that Wish Hook has made a deal with Black Beard to help Henry on a fake adventure because he wanted to try to be there for him like Killian has always been. Because Wish Hook feels a little worried that he can't be the kind of hero for Henry like the other version of himself always has been, and this is certainly a lot for Wish Hook to live up to. And I absolutely love, love, love this storyline for Wish Hook in this episode!! :) Kind of strange that this version of Black Beard, whichever version he may be, seems so much more willing to help his enemy, but it's most likely because Wish Hook has promised Black Beard the rest of the treasure from the chest so long as Henry can keep the ring. Yet true to Black Beard's true character, he betrays Wish Hook and has him, Henry, and Smee bound upon betraying them. And I just love this storyline! I love its adventure! It's sad that Wish Hook feels like he has to be like Killian just so he can be there for Henry, and in order to try to make up for his past mistakes he's made with Alice. It's sad that Wish Hook feels Henry only cares about him being a part of Henry's life, so long as he acts like his other self. But all of this makes me love seeing Henry prove to Wish Hook that he cares about him and trusts him implicitly, in spite of him not being Killian. I just absolutely love their friendship and seeing just how much Wish Hook has grown, and has grown to truly love Henry like a son as well!!! :) I also absolutely love, love, love how their adventure quickly becomes not so fake after all, when the huge storm arises! I always laugh whenever I watch Wish Hook knock Black Beard unconscious once again when he tries to take back the ship from Wish Hook, upon becoming a coward once Henry figures out the reason for the storm and tells Wish Hook to take them into the storm towards the whirlpool. I also love how the pirates looting Davy Jones' Locker for the ring is the cause for the storm and that by Henry tossing it back is what saves them. Good for Henry for discovering how to save them all from being killed in the storm. :) It's a brilliant parallel to season three's premiere episode, titled... The Heart of the Truest Believer, when Emma figures out that to save everyone aboard the Jolly Roger from the storm threatening to kill them, is if she could get everyone to stop fighting one another when the power of the island began to affect them. What a great nod to that storyline! :) And one of my favorite moments in this episode and favorite lines... I absolutely love, love, love when Henry encourages Wish Hook that he would trust him as much as he does Killian on any adventure and through any storm!! Or he states that he would trust any version of Captain Hook, in any land to save them!! :) And this adventure also helps Henry to understand that his story and who he is, is enough after all. And that he doesn't have to go out looking for a grand adventure any longer, or to be anything more than who he is, to prove to Cinderella that he's worthy of her. What a great storyline showing off Wish Hook's and Henry's friendship, and Henry's growth as a character in his own story!! I love it!!! :) Next... I absolutely love the first moments between Rogers and Weaver, as Rogers is speaking with Weaver about Tilly and how he feels responsible for taking care of her, then seeing Weaver pat Rogers' arm to help give his partner confidence and encouragement to keep up his developing relationship with Tilly. It's more proof how far Weaver's come and how much he really does care for Wish Hook as a true friend, in spite of his past with Killian in Storybrooke. I am also very happy to see them continuing to work the Candy Killer case together too! And now... I really like the scene between Zelena and Lucy too, showing how they are both struggling with keeping the truth from their loved ones. It is cute and sweet. However, we move on to the next scene between Zelena and Margot... Once again, they are butting heads and I can't stand how Robin, or in this case... Margot, is treating her mother! Ugh!! Even though I understand her character's storyline in this episode, far more than I understand Robin's cold attitude towards Zelena back in the previous episode this season, titled... Secret Garden. It just really bothers me how stuck up and full of herself she is, and how she can't find it in herself to really try to understand why Zelena is being so closed off. I know Zelena can't tell her the truth about the curse, or even why she's really working at the bar again. But she should at least be happy that she and Regina have finally mended their broken relationship. It just bothers me. I think this is my least favorite bit of the entire episode. I feel so badly for Zelena. Thankfully, they make up again come the ending of this episode. And then... I enjoy the scene between Margot and Tilly as they're sitting on the bench. I still don't care too much about how their relationship develops in either storyline. Although, as I've mentioned before, their actresses both have good chemistry, and their characters are cute together. I love that Margot is helping Tilly and encourages her to be herself, but I still have some issues with their relationship too. More than anything... I do love seeing Tilly happy and seeing her smile. :) Now... I also don't like that Henry is offered a job to produce other people's podcasts in New York. However, I am very happy when Weaver comes to distract him from leaving, not knowing yet that he was leaving of course. I love that Weaver asks Henry for help in their investigation into the Candy Killer case, because their killer had foolishly left Henry's book behind in the parking garage in a haste where he had attacked Drizella in the previous episode, titled... Sisterhood. I love how Weaver makes an effort to dissuade Henry from leaving. And Weaver doesn't give up, as he encourages Henry that his character in the book is his favorite character, because young Henry fights for hope and belief. Thankfully, Weaver's words help. And help them to discover that their killer also has connected with a character within the book as well. Oh... And I love seeing Weaver smile as Henry leaves, knowing that he has managed to convince Henry not to go because he knows Henry too well. And from the title of this episode... Breadcrumbs, as well as from the storyline of last week's episode, titled... Sisterhood, it is revealed that Nick, who up until now has been known by the name of Jack in the New Enchanted Forest, has actually only taken on the role of Jack the Giant Slayer, or Jack and the Beanstalk, simply in order to make himself out to be a well known hero that he really isn't so that he can hide his true identity. I love that he is also Hansel from Henry's version of Hansel and Gretel, or the New Enchanted Forest's version of their tale. I really love how Rogers has helped to get Tilly a job with Sabine in her food truck! It is great, and the moments between them throughout this episode are sweet and funny! Especially when Rogers snaps at her about not biting her nails and being so nervous, while Tilly bites back. I also love how Sabine is more than happy to have Tilly join her, then points out that Rogers has spoken very highly of her. And you can also tell how worried Rogers is for Tilly, and then so happy for her in the end when he sees that she's loving having this job. Just as a father would be. So beautiful! Later... Henry finally changes his mind about going to New York after a second piece of Cinderella's glass slipper pops his tire. I like how he sees this as a sign, and that it convinces him to stay. Unfortunately, Nick is the one who finds him and offers to give him a lift. Yikes! Stupidly, Henry mistakenly reveals everything about his discovery in the case to Nick, which leads Henry to getting himself kidnapped. He also isn't very stealthy about seeing the scars on Nick's wrist either. And lastly... While I am not a fan of the relationship between Henry and Ella, I still like how Henry proposes to her in the end. It is a very sweet moment, with no epic proposal like Killian's second proposal is to Emma in season six's episode, titled... Awake, Charming's proposal is to Snow in season one's second finale episode, titled... A Land Without Magic, or like how Wish Robin Hood's proposal is to the Evil Queen in season six's second finale episode, titled... The Final Battle Part Two. Henry's proposal is just simple and nice. Overall... I absolutely love, love, love this episode!! Mostly thanks to Wish Hook's and Henry's friendship storyline!! Clearly, Nick/Jack/Hansel is awake, and he's not convinced to turn himself in when Henry pleads with him in the end. Duh! Of course he's not through with killing. And unfortunately... Nick's next target is Zelena. Yikes!!! :) Thank you so much once more, Travis! I really had fun watching this episode again with you! And I can't wait for more!!! Thank you so much, dear friend!! Sincerely, Heidi
