Also, I don't know if you recognize the actor who plays Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett), but he played Julian, that sketchy employee who was messing with Norm's wife in the three-episode cruise arc of 9-1-1 at the beginning of season 7. He's also Hugh Grant's cousin.

2025-01-14 18:11:09 +0000 UTCI'm really excited to see your Arrowverse journey continue! The first two seasons of Flash really are some of the best comic book usage in TV or movies. And if you feel like the quality fluctuates during this 10 year run, there is a reason! They rotated the creative team frequently, so the writers for the first two seasons of Arrow moved to Flash for its first two seasons, then I believe they moved onto Legends of Tomorrow for a little bit. It's still fun though!

That date on the news at the end was just under 10 years into the future. I'm also glad you acknowledged the absolutely phenomenal score, Blake Neely did an incredible job. He's responsible for the score for all of the Arrowverse shows (653 songs, 39 hours according to Spotify)! To help give you a jump learning the new cast, here's a brief rundown of everyone we met: - Obviously, Barry Allen aka The Flash. Most of his backstory was already known from Arrow, this episode we learn that he got super-speed as a result of the explosion (which includes superhuman healing speeds) STAR Labs people: - CEO Dr. Harrison Wells, "the shady guy". He claims to have been seriously injured & wheelchair-bound as a result of the particle accelerator explosion, but we know from the pre-credits scene this isn't true. He also has a news headline in the braille room, "Flash missing, vanishes in crisis" dated 2024. - Dr. Caitlyn Snow, a biochemist whose fiancée was killed in the particle accelerator explosion. She was responsible for caring for Barry during his coma. - Cisco Ramon, the "gadget guy". He made the Flash suit. - Detective Joe West; Iris's father, involved in Barry's father's case. - Detective Eddie Thawne, "Detective Pretty Boy". Dating Iris since the explosion - Iris West, dating Eddie, currently working at coffee shop "Jitters" And some miscellaneous info / trivia: - There's a little retcon / oopsie this episode - in the Arrow part, Felicity was on a call with Barry moments before the accelerator explosion, in this episode that phone call was not present. - BTS Trivia, the building used for the exterior shots of Central City PD is actually Vancouver's City Hall, while the exterior of STAR Labs is BC Place, our stadium. Amusingly, they also use BC Place in several episodes as an actual stadium.
