No disrespect to the actress who plays Jacinda/Ella but I feel like its more of her acting that makes it less appealing, along with how she portrays the character. Their love story definitely is my least favorite of the whole series tho and I agree that everything else is more entertaining to watch.. Which is why I think so many fans dislike this last season because everyone wants to see Henry finally get that beautiful love story like we’re so used to getting with all the other couples on the show.

YES - I don't understand why they added so many NEW villains. I think what could have been better is somehow bringing back villains from past seasons. Like then I could stand a villain overload a little more. But the fact that all these villains are completely new, we get no time to see their backstories or really understand their motivations. I WILL say though, from what I understand, when the writers created most of season 7, they were going into with the intention of creating season 8 as well. So I think in their minds, they thought they would have far more time to flesh out all these villains. But then, at about this point in the show, that's when they discovered that the show would be ending at 7. And then they start back peddling by killing or removing all the new villains they overloaded in the plot (i.e. Tremaine, Drizella).

I think there are a lot of the villains throughout all of Once Upon a Time who actually stay bad from beginning to end. Most of them were more minor villains, but there were a lot of them. I mean... We have Pan, Cruella, Hades, the Author, Mother Gothel, the Black Fairy, as well as more minor villains such as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, King George, Black Beard, Jafar, Prince Hans, Greg and Tamara, Gaston, etc... Plus you have some of the Wish Realm villains too, such as Wish Rumple, the Evil Queen, Pan, Cruella, Black Beard, etc… And while Cora technically gets her own redemption too... I just don't believe it. It was too easy and unbelievable for me, so in my opinion... Cora isn't really redeemed fully either. I know that The Chronicles of Narnia are a part of Disney now, but I am glad the books and movies aren't a part of Once Upon a Time. I don't think Narnia really fits in, because they're technically not fairy tales or classic novels in the way that the characters we throughout this show are. I'm not really sure how to phrase what I mean, but Narnia in my opinion just doesn't really fit. Although... I do believe there are Narnia references in this show, if I am not mistaken. I'm not sure when, but I am pretty sure there are. All in all... I really like the Snow Queen from Hans Christian Anderson's classic... The Snow Queen. And I love that she is Elsa's and Anna's aunt. It gives a fantastic explanation as to how Elsa has the snow and ice magic, when no one else in their family does. The same could be said if the villain were the White Witch too, but with her, I am not sure how else Narnia could be tied into Once Upon a Time. The Snow Queen just fits. Heidi

oooh gretel saying her brother goes by a different name now? i wonder who it could be?? also it’s fucking crazy that henry and jacinda have even less chemistry than izzie and george from greys😂😭

I was waiting for your reaction to seeing Aunt Jenna from VD as Gretel haha

Oh, I forgot about the alliance of villains when I typed that, but I did enjoy that story arc. I think it helped that only being a half season arc ensured they didn't overstay their welcome. And Cruella was really the only evil one from the group, with one arguing that the Author was the real villain pulling the strings. All in all, I was really a fan of seasons 3 to 6 comprising two distinct arcs even if some of the villains fell flat. Disney owns Narnia and I was really hoping that the Frozen big bad would end up being the White Witch instead of yet another sibling/family member/loved one of another main character. And got a sappy redemption ending which is the most overused cliche in the series. I don't know how this show ends but I'm sure Hades and Pan were the only ones who actually stayed evil from beginning to end. Possibly Jafar but the Aladdin stuff was so randomly shoehorned in I don't even remember how his story ended. Even the Black Fairy didn't start out bad.

I like most of the villains we have this season. I don't really think it's too much. I just feel that they're not fully the best written villains throughout this show, because the writers and creators didn't take enough time to fully flesh out their characters. They could have done better with them, in spite of there being multiple villains this season. I mean... It worked in season four's Queens of Darkness arc, with Rumple, Maleficent, Ursula, and Cruella. Not all the fans may think so, but I do. And no matter what... I still really enjoy each of these villains this season for the most part too. Some of them are weaker than others, and some do drive me crazy at certain points, but I enjoy them overall. :) Heidi

That IS true !

It would have been so much better, and ironically comical, if it was Regina who entered the arcade and not Jacinda. I have zero enthusiasm for any scene with Jacinda. I think a big problem I have with this season is the villain overload compared to when all other seasons really only had two at a time. We have Tremaine, Drizella, Gothel, Facilier, and now Nick. Throw in Rumple as a wildcard just because he IS the dark one. That's the same problem that led to Spider-Man 3's downfall.

Sisterhood- Thank you for another fun reaction, Travis! Once again, I enjoy this episode overall. I always love these episodes, even when I consider them to be among the weaker episodes throughout this show. However, I definitely have some major issues with this particular episode too, One pretty big issue in particular... It's all to do with Drizella's and Anastasia's storyline in this episode, and how their story arc comes to an end. Which is why this episode is easily another of my least favorite episodes within this season, as well as throughout this entire show. Just like episode nine, titled... One Little Tear. But first... One of the biggest reasons for this season's issues that cause most fans of Once Upon a Time to dislike this overall season, is because the writers for this season, or for particular episodes that have the most issues such as this one, don't take as much of an effort to think their storylines all the way through. In my opinion... The overall ending regarding Drizella's and Anastasia's happy ending, is weak. This ending for them annoys me to no end. But I will come back to my thoughts about this storyline shortly... The opening scene between Anastasia and a young Drizella is cute, as they're playing hide and go seek, until Drizella becomes afraid upon becoming lost. For once, I like seeing Anastasia comfort her younger sister. And this moment also always makes me miss my own sister. I also really enjoy the next scene between Drizella and Gothel, who disguises herself as Regina in order to test Drizella's resolve to cast the dark curse. Because it's good to see how Drizella initially becomes a part of the witch's coven, even though we know her doing so, doesn't work out so well for Drizella in the end. And then... I really love the little scene between Rogers and Weaver inside the police station, as Weaver is working to put back together Belle's chipped cup. It's funny how Rogers tells him that he never pictured Weaver as an antiques kind of man, which as we know from Gold's time spent in his pawn shop within Storybrooke, isn't true. It's also very nice to see Rogers actually feeling happy for once. Especially when he talks to Weaver about Tilly staying with him and him needing to go shopping for more jam, or marmalade, knowing how much Tilly loves it. I really appreciate the little details like this. Now... I love how Lucy sets up the bromance night for her father at Regina's suggestion. At least between Henry and Rogers because Henry and Wish Hook are best friends. I just don't care that Jack, or in this world... Nick, is a part of this boys' night out too. Especially knowing now from the very end reveal, that Nick is the witch killer whom the police have come to dub as the Candy Killer... Hyperion Heights' first and only serial killer. In all honesty... I've never really cared much for either Nick or Jack in either world. I just didn't suspect my bad intuitions about him would be because of the big twist revealed in the end. But once again, I will get back to all this in a moment... I do like Jack and Nick somewhat more now, having watched this show all the way through so many times now. But when I first watched Once Upon a Time as it aired on television, I really didn't like him at all. I do now. He's still one of the weaker characters throughout the show in my opinion, just like Neal and Cora, but he's fine. More about Nick/Jack in a moment... To get back to my thoughts regarding boys' night out... This smaller storyline within this episode is easily my favorite storyline within this episode overall!! I absolutely love, love, love all the scenes between Rogers and Henry at the arcade!! It's very funny seeing Rogers playing Galaga, given that Killian within seasons two through six, is completely inept with technology ever since he arrives in Storybrooke, as he is often shown struggling with all kinds of technology, even with a cell phone. Ha! Ha! Ha! And Rogers turns out to be even better than Henry at the game, even if Henry's mind just happens to be more on women troubles. I love seeing Rogers encourage Henry to ask out the next woman who walks through the door pretending it would help him to move on from Jacinda, then to see him smile for Henry when it turns out to be Jacinda who walks through the door next. Rogers and Henry really are the best of friends. And now knowing that Nick is the Candy Killer... It's clear that he's not a good friend for Henry at all. One thing that I do appreciate and find to be very interesting... When Killian doesn't wear his hook, he is shown a few times throughout seasons two through six wearing a fake wooden hand. Such as he does throughout season two once he gets out of the hospital in season two's episode, titled... Tiny, and until he steals his hook back from David in the episode, titled... The Queen is Dead, and once again in season three's episode, titled... New York City Serenade, when Killian comes to New York to save Emma, and throughout most of season three's Wicked Witch arc because Henry is without his memories. His hook and wooden hand often make using technology impossible for Killian. Just like when he's unable to use the handheld video game control in season six's episode, titled... Murder Most Foul, making it impossible for him to play video games with Henry. However... Rogers is always shown to be wearing his prosthetic hand that allows him to have some function in this fake hand because it's mechanical, unlike the fake wooden hand that Killian wears. And because he has some control over its movement and functions, this allows for Rogers to be able to use technology, hold things, and even to be able to play video games, such as he is shown playing Galaga here in Sisterhood with Henry. I just really love the contrast shown between these two phenomenal and yet very different versions of Captain Hook. Love it!! :) By the way... Flynn's Arcade has nothing to do with Flynn Rider from Disney's, Tangled. In case you might be wondering where the name for this arcade comes from. This arcade's name is actually a nod to Disney's, Tron from 1982 starring Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner, and its much later sequel... Tron: Legacy from 2010 starring Garrett Hedlund, Jeff Bridges, and Olivia Wilde. Jeff Bridges plays a character in both movies named Kurt Flynn, who owns an arcade he comes to call Flynn's Arcade. Also... If you remember back to season two's episode, titled... Welcome to Storybrooke, when we meet Greg Mendell's father within the episode's backstory, we learn that Greg's father is also actually named Kurt Flynn, which is Once Upon a Time's first nod to the original Disney movie, Tron from 1982. I love it! Next... I find it ironic that Ivy would even bother to turn to Regina for help after she's attacked by the Candy Killer. I enjoy the scene between them though. I appreciate that despite all of the pain Drizella has caused her, Regina is still willing and wanting to help her, because it is the right thing to do. Unfortunately, Facilier appears to butt his nose in again, and ruins what little alliance she and Regina might have had eventually. Until the very ending that makes no sense to me either. And then... Drizella goes off in search of her sister, which leads into another backstory for Drizella, in which we soon come to meet a grown up version of Gretel, from Hansel and Gretel. Of course. Gothel appears once again to Drizella in the past to exploit Drizella's need for power to cast the dark curse, then convinces her to kill Gretel in order to test her. Drizella really shouldn't have listened. And they both betray each other when they could have been best friends and sisters. It's a real shame because in the end of their battle between them, Drizella wins, but not because she chooses to become ruthless, but out of desperation to live. Which should not count as a win for Drizella in Gothel's eyes. Another bit of information... This version of Gretel throughout this episode's backstory, is a completely different version of her character from season one's episode, titled... True North. She is not in any way, the same Gretel we meet back in True North. Grown up, or otherwise. And therefore... You needn't worry that the version of Gretel from True North might have grown up to be cold or cruel. As for Jack/Nick... I knew I couldn't trust him. I never trusted Jack or Nick from the moment he first comes onscreen back in this season's episode, titled... Pretty in Blue. Something always felt off with him. Both as Nick and as Jack. Especially after the Star Wars reference Henry drops regarding Lando Calrissian, foreshadowing that Jack could possibly be a traitor much like how Lando first was when he is introduced in Star Wars Episode V; The Empire Strikes Back. I didn't know in what way Nick might turn out to be a traitor to our heroes, but I certainly wasn't expecting to learn that he is a witch killer and serial killer. And now... We've learned from this big twist in the ending, that Nick is the Candy Killer. So not good, and yet I actually quite love this twist that he has been a villain all along. Pretty much since Nick first arrives in Hyperion Heights, as the first two witches are soon after killed, and Tilly is framed for their deaths. And given that he is killing witches here in Hyperion Heights, it makes sense that he would have been doing so in his past too, which means that Jack here in this season is also a killer and villain too. And now, as for Drizella and Anastasia in the present day storyline, and the biggest storyline that I dislike most about this episode... I knew that Drizella would choose herself over her own sister and everything else. I knew she wasn't going to change for the better even then. I never trusted her. And in the end... Even though she and Anastasia make up once again despite Drizella being willing to sacrifice her sister minutes before, I still don't trust her. Drizella is very two-faced. And while I do like her character for the most part within this season because of her own snarkiness, sass, and because I really enjoy Adelaide Kane's performance as Drizella throughout this season, I was absolutely ready to see hers and Anastasia's overall story arc finally come to an end. I was just done with all of it because I can't tolerate Drizella's constant back and forth attitude of love and hate towards her sister any longer. And I was happy that she and Anastasia leaves town through a portal to start over, just so I didn't have to put up with their characters any longer. I hate their wishy-washy relationship, that just makes no sense upon seeing how often Drizella has tried to kill Anastasia. Especially just before they make up again once and for all in the ending of this episode, in a way that is incredibly weak and ridiculous. Maybe they can be happy as sisters after all. I just feel that Drizella's redemption is absolutely rushed and completely unbelievable. It annoys me quite a lot. Just like Cora's weak redemption in season five's episode, titled... Sisters, which I hate too. As for Dr. Facilier within this episode... While I do appreciate that he does help Regina gain some magic of her own so she can use it to save Henry, I'm just not a fan of how he goes about getting the magic for her. His storyline within this episode is pretty weak. And I can't help but feel that his overall character has grown weak, due once again to poor writing from this season's writers. And shame on Facilier for underestimating the sisters and Gothel, just like all villains underestimate their enemies. And what a coward he is for running when the witches' power becomes too strong for him, even though he claims to have done so simply to steal some of Anastasia's magic so he can give it to Regina to save Henry. I just don't like this much at all really. I know this moment is meant to be between the witches, but wow! So lame! However, of course he gives Regina the cure to save Henry, And yet... I still don't really trust that it won't come at a price. As for the moment between Regina and Rumple after the sisters disappear through the portal... I like how Rumple chooses to let Anastasia, the Guardian, go for the good of helping her and Drizella grow as sisters and because it is for the good of everyone now that Gothel has lost this part of her big plan. Even if this choice may cost him his chance to return with Belle. Rumple most certainly has at last truly changed for good. And at last... I am so, so happy that Gothel has finally become the true big bad villain of this overall season, and not Drizella, or Anastasia, or Lady Tremaine, or even Facilier!! I mean... We've known this pretty early on this season, but now the big bad truly is Gothel and her coven, given that the other villains this season are mostly gone now, with the exception of Facilier. Only... Gothel must be pretty ticked off now that she no longer has Anastasia or Drizella around to manipulate. Yikes! Overall... This episode is just okay. Not terrible or great, but okay. I love the moments between Rogers and Henry inside the arcade the most, and I enjoy the moment Henry tosses the coin at Jacinda's behest for the sake of true love, even if someone does pull the glass away just as the coin is about to land in it. NO!!!!! Even though I'm still not a big fan of Henry and Jacinda. I may not like them as a couple, but because Jacinda/Ella has been established as Henry's True Love, I want them to be together. For Henry's sake. Another of my biggest disappointments for this episode, is that there are no scenes between Rogers and Tilly now that she's moved in with him. I really wanted to see more of their growing relationship after their end scene in the last episode. With all of this being said... Thank you so much again for your reaction to this episode, my friend! :) Thank you! Sincerely, Heidi
