The way you keep bringing up the no chemistry between Henry and Jacinda has me weak everytime😹 I didn’t really notice the first time I watched it but I sure do now 😭

Facilier’s outfit is one that works on a cartoon but absolutely doesn’t on a real person, it just looks so bad and gaudy.

A Taste of the Heights- Yay!!! A new reaction for a new episode, titled... A Taste of the Heights!! Thank you very much, Travis! I enjoy this episode overall. It's certainly not at all one of my favorite episodes of the season, but it's still pretty good. The storylines between Tiana/Sabine, Naveen/Drew, and Dr. Facilier/Baron Samdi in both the past and present, are a nice Once Upon a Time take on the Disney movie, The Princess and the Frog. First... If I'm being perfectly honest, I don't particularly care as much for the backstory in this episode between Tiana and Naveen. Because I feel that Naveen is far too cocky and full of himself, but in the wrong way. Just like his character is in the Disney movie. He's better here in Once Upon a Time, while I absolutely hate his character in The Princess and the Frog. I've never liked his character. Naveen/Drew here in Once Upon a Time is still cocky, but at least not quite as much as he is within the movie. So, I have an easier time tolerating his character in this show. It makes sense that he would be written to be cocky and full of himself here in Once Upon a Time too. However, I just absolutely hate his character in the Disney movie, and even though this actor... Jeff Pierre, does a fine job taking on the role as Naveen here in Once Upon a Time, I just don't like his overall character. Although... He's certainly much better as Drew, and far more tolerable. Some characters in shows and in movies who act cocky in ways like Hook often does throughout this show, I really like. Because Killian's cocky for a very particular reason. Because his cocky attitude is only a mask he hides behind in order to hide another side of him that's lost and a bit broken. And if an actor or actress is good at playing their role, then you can absolutely see a difference in their cockiness, versus characters who are just cocky and full of themselves because they really believe they're all that. And there are other characters and their actors who act cocky, who can't pull off this cocky attitude well, and they rub me the wrong way. This is how I feel towards Naveen's character. Especially in The Princess and the Frog. As Drew within the Hyperion Heights storyline, Naveen is a bit better and slightly more humble than his other side of him. But he still sort of rubs me the wrong way. And not just because he is actually working for Facilier and is tricking Sabine. I hope all of this makes sense. I apologize if my thoughts sound a bit confusing or repetitive, Travis. As for the backstory with Tiana going on a quest thanks to Facilier's warning of a beast invading her Kingdom and terrorizing her people... It's fine. And I do really like Dr. Facilier as a villain. He's cool, mysterious, and creepy too. And he deals in the dark arts of voodoo, which is unique for a Once Upon a Time villain. I believe that in my comments from back in a previous episode this season, titled… Greenbacks, when Facilier is first introduced as a new villain, I stated that in the movie, The Princess and the Frog, his character is known as a witch doctor, also known as the Shadow Man, who deals in voodoo and has power to reach into the other side of the veil to raise those trapped between the veil of life and death. In this episode... We actually get to see this occur, when Tiana begs him to save Naveen's life after he's practically killed battling the giant alligator. Or at least Once Upon a Time's version of Facilier's magic, without us actually seeing all of the shadow creatures like shown within the DIsney movie. Tiana convinces Facilier that he owes her for helping him to retrieve his bobble, which we learn later on to be a necklace belonging to Regina, and so he does so. However, like Rumplestiltskin always liked to do when he made deals, Facilier twisted Tiana's deal around to make it work in his favor, taking Naveen away by magic until Naveen can pay off the debt he now owes him for Facilier saving his life, despite it being Tiana who pleads with Facilier to do so. Hence... This brings us to why Naveen, or Drew in Hyperion Heights is now working for him, but clearly against his will. The storyline between Sabine and Drew in Hyperion Heights is fine, and they do certainly have the right chemistry with one another. And I can stand behind them just fine. However, I actually feel far more invested in Rogers' and Weaver's investigation into the doctor's murder, and now the attempted murder of the baker. In this side storyline within this episode... I really enjoy how Weaver pulls Rogers away from his guilt over having saved Eloise and risking the lives of all those who are now at risk because of her, by him helping Rogers to focus on what happened to Victoria for a time so they could investigate what has come of Lucy's doctor, which leads them to talk to a baker who knew her. A baker we immediately recognize to be another version of the Blind Witch because of all the sweets in her shop, mainly her gingerbread. She doesn't give the detectives much information. However, they suspect enough to know that she is lying to them about something, which brings them to returning later after shop hours as they break into her shop, only to find her unconscious on the floor in her kitchen after whoever killed the doctor, also attempted to kill this baker too. And because Rumple is awake, of course he knows this woman to really in fact be a witch and part of Gothel's coven, then puts together that the doctor had been a member of her coven as well. After leaving Rogers, Rumple then finally goes to talk with Regina and Zelena, letting them know at last that he is awake. And Rumple reveals his findings to them about the two women being witches, thanks to the removed tattoo on the doctor's arm, and that it appears there is someone going around killing witches. Someone, who is clearly awake and knows who these women really are. This makes Zelena especially nervous, given that she herself is a witch as well. I really enjoy this mystery behind the witches from Gothel's coven being killed off one by one, and Rogers' and Weaver's investigation into this mystery. This is easily my favorite storyline of this episode!! Now... In this episode, we also get a lot more with Lucy trying to bring her parents back together again now that she's home from the hospital, and now that Victoria's no longer around to try to get in their way. And she actually succeeds in drawing them closer by setting up a date for them, pretending to want to have a game night between the three of them. However, she pretends to be tired and goes to bed, leaving Jacinda and Henry alone to talk. Unfortunately, a page from the real storybook magically shows up from within Henry's storybook, as the page mysteriously drops onto the floor. We know from season four... back when page 23 showing Robin and Regina together, had mysteriously appeared to Robin inside of his satchel in season four's episode, titled... Smash the Mirror Part Two, and back in season six's musical episode, titled... The Song in Your Heart, when the page showing Blue gifting Emma with their songs mysteriously appears to Henry when he needs it most, and from past seasons when Henry's storybook has always mysteriously helped him too... That the storybooks always mysteriously help whomever they need to help in the right time. So, I absolutely appreciate that the storybook makes a page now mysteriously appear for Lucy too, so that she can stop her parents from kissing in time to protect Henry. Lucy picks it up and discovers the horror that reveals Henry will die should the curse be broken. So sadly, Lucy immediately rushes out of her room to interrupt her parents just as they're about to kiss, so that they can't break the curse with True Love's Kiss just yet. And Lucy's crushed. And then... We have the moments in this episode revealing that Regina and Facilier were once in some kind of relationship with one another. In the past, it's implied that Regina and Facilier were once together when she was still the Evil Queen, as Facilier states to her near the end of this episode, once Tiana and the others leave the room within the palace so Tiana can be crowned Queen, that he misses the other side to her. And then... In the very end, Regina comes to confront Samdi as she tells him she knows he's awake and demands to know why he's really in Hyperion Heights. Of course, he seductively invites her inside his apartment without saying much of anything and Regina reluctantly follows, leading us to presume that they might pick up again with their relationship, or whatever might have been between them in their past. The reveal of their past relationship is my least favorite part of this episode. I don't like the idea of Regina being together with Facilier in the slightest. I could understand and possibly even have liked it from their past while both characters were still villains. That is... If they were only in the kind of relationship where feelings weren't actually involved. However, for them to wind up back in a relationship now with Regina being a hero and him still being a villain... I absolutely hate the idea of them being together. It's just wrong. And lastly, in regards to whether or not we've seen this necklace that Facilier says Regina has worn when they were together in their past... I do believe that we have seen Regina wearing this necklace in past episodes' backstories when she was still the Evil Queen. However, I do not believe there is any particular point in which this necklace stands out, or whether or not we are actually meant to remember it. In all honesty, I think it's just a random necklace, meant simply to be used as a poorly written way for him to earn an audience with Regina and a way to weasel back into her life after so many years. At least... In my opinion. Thank you so much for your reaction to this episode once again, Travis! :) Sincerely, Heidi
