And derek’s been pissing me off to no end recently, but i really believe him. that scene at the end when he’s talking to amelia and he’s like “when did saving lives stop being enough” and was talking about what their mom said to him; it really is like, you’ll never know the grass isn’t actually greener on the other side until you see it for yourself. derek’s seen that, he’s seen the beauty in his own life and he’s happy with that. i love that for him and meredith. let’s hope he can keep that up lmao
