Some background info: The people playing the survivors from the camp were terminally ill people from the hospitals in the area. Many of them had cancer or other terminal illnesses and when asked why they chose to do the show they said it was important and it would live forever. The fact that they used ill people also allowed for a more realistic-looking scene without putting anyone in danger and it really brings the whole thing to life. Truly one of the most difficult episodes of TV I have ever watched, but deeply necessary and important like you said. <3

2024-12-14 19:45:51 +0000 UTCIt's a hard watch but you're right it's important. The beggining scene where Nixon corrects the men that they are playing Beethoven not Mozart is significant. Mozart was Austrian (as was Hitler) Beethoven was German.
