Definitely also one of my favorite episodes as well, with its focus on Doctor Eugene Roe. I really enjoyed having this episode being focused on the medic and showing a different part of the war. Agree wholeheartedly that Eugene was a great and a perfectly casted and was really sad at the end with the bombardment of Bastogne and the collapse of the church (i.e. the makeshift infirmary) The scenery change to it being in the winter with the snow-covered ground was also a great change. As you have mentioned that some parts of the earlier episodes were very dark, at least through the snow, one could see most of what was going on in this ep. A small and final comment is with the music. There was no music whatsoever until right at the end, which made this whole episode stand-out and allowed for the focus to stay on the scenery, the visuals and the atmosphere without having to use any music undertones. P.S. Lieutenant Dyke is a wimp :D
