Game of Thrones is not real because it's a show AND because it's set in a world that DOES NOT EXIST AND ISNT SUPPOSED TO EXIST. PLL is a show, yes, but it is set in the real world it is fiction but not in a fantasy realm. My God.

I remember back in the day when it came out, people were OBSESSED with their relationship and it already felt awkward to me but now in my 30s it's just disgusting that they 1) portrayed that relationship 2) made it look like it was so romantic.

First, "harping" on something immediately has a negative connotation, so it makes sense that everyone commenting here sees it in the same light. Second, it is absolutely wild to come on a reactor's page and imply they're somehow reacting incorrectly because they're making their thoughts and opinions on the content known. Third and most importantly, making yourself the victim and blaming the situation on people being "too sensitive nowadays" is absolutely and entirely out of pocket and insane to me. You are complaining about everyone else being too sensitive but you are quite literally the only person anywhere adjacent to the realm of offended and taking it personally in this conversation.

Because of their close friendship, Ashley also spent a lot of time with Justin, as well as his ex Selena Gomez (she also starred in Spring Breakers with Selena in 2013). Btw, the movie in question is Never Say Never, which was about to come out (a concert/documentary).

2024-10-27 22:02:48 +0000 UTCFully disagreeing here. There is a pretty obvious HUGE difference between this show and GOT, which is the fantasy genre. I haven’t watched GOT but I know enough to know there’s dragons and shit which automatically means whatever F ed up relationship dynamics they’re portraying isn’t intended to be seen as any kind of model for our society. Whereas in PLL it is painfully obvious that they are trying to portray this relationship between Aria and Ezra in a positive, romantic light which is disgusting because 13-17 year old girls probably watched this and saw no issue with it. I think the only reasonable way for someone to watch this in 2024 is to constantly cringe at how wildly inappropriate it is, and I’m very glad that’s how Travis is. I certainly wouldn’t be able to watch it along with him if not.

The show is a good show but there are a lot of F up things in this show but people drawing a line on a teacher/student dynamics is bonkers to me. To me Pretty Little Liars is just like House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones no one is innocent. 🤷🏾♀️
