2024-08-13 05:15:25 +0000 UTCCallie definitely has a self sacrificial complex, especially with Jude, and she thinks that the only way to protect him and make sure the Adams-Fosters adopt him, is for her to leave because she is "so selfish" (as Jude said right to her face). The girl didn't even believe she deserved to be happy until like yesterday so clearly she has a lot of issues to work through. She was even willing to go back to Juvie in exchange for Jude to go somewhere safe in the pilot. So, it is shocking, but I understand her motivation, however misguided.
