I am Lena's complexion that being said my grandmother was a dark skin black woman but she married a biracial black man, he had blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin, his mom didn't want him marrying her as she didn't want her grandchildren to come out dark. Colorism is a thing unfortunately, I think I benefited from being light skin and having fair hair, I am still black of course and as is Lena (even though some of us want to put mixed race folk in a different category but that's another story) She's right though darker skin people get treated worse compared to light skin black people, even in movies and tv shows they tend to pick the lighter skin black person over the dark skin actor and or actress.
