They all need to pay more attention to poor Helaena, 'there's a beast beneath the boards', 'he'll have to close an eye', so many things could be prevented if they just listened to the poor girl rather than just thinking she's crazy. Love this episode, Rhaenys is a queen, and I know realistically and politically she couldn't just burn them all, but don't you just wish she had. Or at least chomped off Otto's head!

2024-06-21 12:42:01 +0000 UTCI love the atmosphere painted in this episode, this moody, gloomy and foreboding feeling of something horrible taking place. Elevation of this drunken brat who assaults woman to the highest place of honor. Farce build upon bodies of people disagreeing with the Greens. All episode I just feel dirty watching it unravel and for the life of me I cannot understand people seeing Team Green as morally superior and in the right. Alicent's hypocrisy of brainwashing her children to always believe they are in danger and Aegon is bound to be a king only to be shocked, shocked I say! that her father and council was doing exact same treasonous steps. And further shocked again that they plan to kill Rhaenyra and her family. Criston Cole killing Lord Beesbury and being rewarded with a position of Lord Commander is just nauseating. We also have Alicent humiliating herself in front of Larys for information. And finally their chosen king. Drunken and unwilling and underserving now lapping at adulation of the crowds under Aemond's resentful glare. The writing and acting is just spectacular but I still hate everyone on Team Green. That was poor Lord Caswell who was killed for trying to leave the castle and warn Rhaenyra, a price paid for decency. I loved Commander Westerling just leaving this farce, and I love even more Erryk releasing Rhaenys from her chambers to try and spirit her away. (Good way on some podcast I heard how to tell twins apart, Erryk is Empathetic and cares so he sees how shitty Aegon is , and Arryk is Asshole who does not care :D) And while I know where the story goes and why if Rhaenys burned them all down we just would not have a show to enjoy, I still tried willing her through the screen to Dracarys their asses. Lovely reaction as always, cannot wait to see you continue to watch (and I hope continue to enjoy) this journey for S1 finale and through S2 :)
