So, you are thinking of "Doom" when you're thinking about a video game lol. Dune is a series of books that was actually one of the inspirations for Star Wars. The other main inspiration for Star Wars is something called Valerian, which they made a movie adaptation for over a decade ago (it was not good lol). There is a sequel to Dune part 1, aptly named Dune part 2 lol, that is still in theaters, but is also out on digital. Yeah, a lot of big names in this one. A couple people from the Greatest Showman (Zendaya and Rebecca Ferguson [Paul's mom]). Some from the MCU (Stellan Skarsgard {the baron/fat one; plays Dr. Selvig in most of the Thor movies], Josh Brolin [plays Thanos], Dave Bautista, and Zendaya again lol. There's also Jason Momoa. So, Dune part 1 (originally named just Dune as you said in the reaction) is an adaptation of the first two-thirds of the novel Dune. The first time I watched it, I liked it but I wasn't sure how much. Each time I've watched it since then, it's only gotten better for me. I like part 2 even more, but fair warning, it's even longer than part 1 lol. The dragonfly-like flying vehicles are called ornithopters. Anyways, Dune part 2 is definitely on my list of future requests (so was Dune part 1, but TimeLord10 beat me to it lol).
