I've never noticed this until this watch through, but early in the episode the doctor says something along the lines of once you read it then it becomes a fixed point so it has to happen and right afterwards they show Rory's grave. We the audience read it thus making it have to become true that he would die. It's so crazy that after all these years of watching and rewatching this show there are still things you can pick up on that you hadn't noticed before!

2024-06-27 00:56:16 +0000 UTCThe first time I saw this, as soon as the Doctor said "I hate endings", I was like, "ah shit"! I hate that I was right because I wasn't ready to say goodbye to them. At the same time, I felt it was time for them to go. Either way, it hurts! 😭😭😭
