This is late but I’m sleeping next to my daughter trying not to wake her up because Jackson said “I’m an Avery, we know these things” and you said “oooh, he was in the navy?!” and now I can’t ever go to a job interview or funeral again because I will think of this moment and audibly laugh.

My grandma was widowed and remarried when my mom was 12. My mom had a really hard time accepting her stepdad, but he became the only grandpa I knew, a lovely man. After my grandma passed he went on to develop dementia and was placed in a home. My mom would visit every week. My grandpa got a GF and I felt skeptical about this, but my mom embraced her as well and continued to see her even after my grandpa passed, until she did. This was many years ago now, but Richards situation reminded me of how amazing life can be when we're able to embrace others who come into our lives on the other side of our tragedies. My grampa brought so much joy to my mom's family and me, and his gf brought much needed joy and relief to him in his final days. The beauty of life, folks. 😊

I went "Travis said it, it must be true and I just forgot about that storyline" 😭😭 then I looked up and say who was talking and I was so disappointed in myself lol 😂😂😂 I used to be able to quote this show line for line through the first 10 seasons and now I'm forgetting what happens in season 8 clearly I need to start over rewatching this show with your vids to get back up to par.

That episode when he sang "My Funny Valentine" from the OR, and at that time, he left her to be with Ellis. And now, RICHARD is going through that... seeing her falling in love with somebody else.... And the context makes everything deeper; she isn't doing it to hurt him like he hurt her in the past. She just fell in love in a pure way. And she has the same disease as Ellis, and just like her, she's constantly rewinding the past and how much Richard hurt her. But in this episode, we get to the point where it's the other way around. It's like "karma" written for a TV show, but it's so subtle that you barely catch it, but it's still there.

I think they wanted to show the reality of what being a 5th year resident entails by showing them going on these different interviews at other hospitals and contemplating moving away. But from a production standpoint I think it was also an easy way to see which residents viewers would be okay to see written off or to see if the show would survive if they followed Meredith and Derek working at another hospital.

It's like he said she should want him to stay because it's what he wants not because it's his only option. My favorite thing about Jackson is from the very beginning it's made clear that he doesn't want to be handed anything just because of his grandfather's legacy, foundation and money. I think Christina's best basket is the one from Cleveland, they sent her ❤ heart ❤ shaped cookies.

2024-03-07 18:10:35 +0000 UTCFun Fact: the only reason I ever even knew greys anatomy was a thing is because I watched this episode where the girl who plays Holly Wheeler(Vanessa Marano) was a main character on my favorite show at the time. I was looking for other things to watch where she was in it and I saw her credited for this episode. I watched this episode and got addicted so I started Grey’s from the beginning. Now I’ve seen Grey’s 15 times(16 if you count watching again with you) and I want to be a surgeon because of this show and it’s my favorite show of all time. If I hadn’t watched that other show and looked up other stuff Vanessa was in, I never would have gotten into Grey’s. Absolutely crazy
