See, as a Dane, I don't understand gun culture as it just doesn't exist here, guns are such a rarity and I'd personally never own one myself - but that's the beauty of this show. Because Lydia makes valid points as to WHY she has it, and then Penelope makes a valid counterpoint. The show never, as you said, preaches to anyone. It adds the nuance to these type of discussions, and that is nice, even if you firmly take a stand on either side.
