2024-04-29 18:42:31 +0000 UTCI think this episode would have been more impactful if Izzie and George were still here, because it is actually a crucial episode for the arc of their careers with them as 5th year residents doing their first solo surgeries. They are lead surgeons from now on, still completing 5th year, but this is the final year before Fellowships. I actually tear up at the song with Karev and imagine we got to see George and Izzie doing the same. If they hadn't made Christina's a joke and Merediths about her feud with Derek, it would be more memorable as that turning point in their careers. Getting fellowships or attending positions may be true career markers for the field, but this marks the curriculum end of their learning careers, which feels pretty epic and huge given their start.

He has like a martyr complex or something. Like how he stayed w Addison only to throw it in her face daily like "oh look how forgiving i am to take you back after what u did and give up Meredith my new love for you". Lmao he didn't have to do that, he was given many outs and chose to live in misery then blame his misery on her. So this time when he did actually lose things bc of Meredith, he's sure as hell gonna punish her 24/7. It's just so unproductive and makes everyone more miserable including himself.

I mean he is one of the top neurosurgeons of the world who lost his reputation and his career was setback his own wife! I mean really married couples shouldnβt work so closely esp when one is substantially more ahead in their career. Also they lost Zola because of Mer. I mean I also get why Mer did all of these things. Thatβs Greys writing.
