That Rachel cover is very "Lea Michele" coded. I think during the time of glee she did use a different kind of voice to portray Rachel, like differents intonations and ways to say somme words. But that song really sounded like how Lea sings IRL.

The songs are great apart from American Boy, don't know why on Earth they did that, but your reaction made it entertaining. 😂 I really loved Rachel singing Glitter In The Air, I thought that was beautiful. As was Blaine singing All Of Me. And I loved their version of Pompeii as well. 🔥 As for what you said at the end about the season 4 kids, basically what happened is there was a HUGE backlash during season 4 because everyone hated these new kids and didn't understand why they didn't just follow the OGs in New York. People moaned like crazy for like two years. And after the first two episodes of the season were filmed, Cory passed away so filming was suspended but they released those episodes anyway and then there was a break in the season and during that break people moaned more than ever about the new kids so the writers, who at that point had only written half the season, decided ok let's get rid of them. As one of the few people who always liked the new kids I hated this and I really hate how they basically got no ending at all and none of their storylines were resolved. It sucked but everyone else was happy. Until these New York based episodes aired and then guess what? Everyone complained that it was rubbish and they wanted it back at the school again. Seriously the MESS of the Glee fandom back then cannot be explained, it had to be lived through. And the writers were just trying to please everyone when they should've just stuck to their original vision. Rant over lol, just needed to get that off my chest. 😂 Moving on to the Sam and Mercedes thing, maybe I'm biased because I never liked them together but I feel that their storyline is the only one that actually works in this episode. Throughout the last part of the season we've had Mercedes deciding that she doesn't want to have sex and Sam has shown a few times that he's unsure about it but he doesn't want to let her go. And unhealthy relationships like that often end in tears and I think them breaking it off before Sam cheats again or before he starts to resent her is the right thing to do and the adult thing to do. They're just not meant to be together and that's ok. 🤷 And lastly, Rachel giving up Broadway to do a TV show was a stupid piece of writing that completely goes against everything we know about her character. But we'll see what you think about where that storyline goes in the next season... 👀 Overall I love season 5, some weird moments but it makes me smile and I'm glad I co-sponsored it. Can't wait for season 6. 😊

They really tried to make us believe that Santana would have just left Brittany at the airport stranded. The girl wouldn’t even leave New Directions to join the Troubletones without her. Snixx would have come out in full force if anyone would not have let her Britt-Britt come home with her, and she would have gotten herself detained. Man, i would have loved to see that whole scene play out!

Many years ago, at the time when Pompeii was a huuuuge hit, I was robbed on the street at night while I was hearing that song on my headphones, and it was a literally a gun to my head type of situation, it was horrible, so I couldn't listening to that song anymore for years after that but I remember when I watched this ep for the first time I just skipped that song. Now it's just a memory, but I haven't watched this until now and it's really great!

2023-12-22 19:19:21 +0000 UTCI’m with you, I didn’t love this episode much. Or season. It had some good episodes and really strong character arcs but overall a bit disappointing. That being said…Season 6 is a return to form. It’s incredibly funny, the momentum is there to carry out the rest of the series and it really ends on a good note. One of the few final seasons of tv that I thought was a fantastic bookend to the series.
