There was a rumour for a while that Karen Gillan was going to be the new face of a Pirates of the Caribbean reboot, with her as the new pirate "Red" (who is featured on the PotC ride at DIsney. Not sure if that's still in the works or not, or if it was ever more than a rumor, but it was kind of fun getting a sneak peak of what she might look like in that role. I'm not usually the biggest fan of this episode, but I have to say I really enjoyed it watching along with you. I really like when the Doctor is all quirky, funny, and weird. And we got plenty of that this time.

The whole thing with Rory nearly dying again was a bit annoying, it became like a running joke that he keeps coming back to life lol. I think it's been like 4/5 times by this point. π But the pirate theme was great, I thought the relationship between the boy and his dad was interesting, I always like it when the villain turns out to not be a villain at all and The Doctor is very funny in this one. So overall it's enjoyable. π
