Feature Focus Poll - April

Hey everyone, I hope you’re all doing well. For this months feature focus poll I haven’t added back any of the previous winners to give some of the other option more of a chance so this time we will have one that has never won before which is nice. That being said there isn’t as many options now so I think next month i’m going to try add a few more, maybe 1 previous winner and then two new options that you haven’t seen before. So if you have any ideas for things you’d like to see or things you’d like to be focused on let me know and I’ll get them added next poll.

Note - Some of these options might not take as long to add/update as previous ones o’ve focused on. If that’s the case I will also focus other stuff in any free time I get to try and add as much as possible of stuff I hope you’ll like.

One other thing I was thinking, as there isn’t as many options here if the poll is very close I could try and do the top two or so but focus more on the one that does win just so there’s a bit more variety and that should mean there’s something that everyone likes, just let me know what you’d want :)

Extra Speed Slider Options And More Customisation

Ok so I’m going to explain this one a bit differently than I normally do as there are some changes I want to make and also I don’t think I explain it well enough normally so you can kind of visualise what it is.

Firstly every scene does have the speed slider now so there isn’t really any scene to add the generic one to but revolving around this I would like to make it so the speed you have in each scene saves for all characters in that scene. If I get this working well I can then give you the option for saving the speed for each individual character in each scene.

Next I would like to add the speed randomiser/range to more scenes. I don’t know if many people have used this but here’s an image of how the slider looks as the GIF size is to big to really put here, but I’ll try explain it the best I can.

I don’t know if many people have even seen this feature really as its a bit complicated at the moment to activate which I am going to make more simple.

I've tried to make the slider as visible as possible her but hopefully you can see the max and minimum ranges of the background and then where the min and max points are currently set.

Basically the slider will have two points on it being the minimum and maximum speed. At random times during the scene it will change the speed to a random speed between those two values giving it a more natural feel. This is only working in a few scenes at the moment and there’s a lot of QOL stuff I want to change with it to do with how the menu works, some extra settings and how everything is saved.

Finally I wanted to add a section speed changer, this will allow you to change the speed for say 3 different parts of the animation. This will allow you to maybe go in really quick and then come out slowly or however you want. Just gives a bit more variation to the animation as a whole.

Here’s a kind of example of how it looks although its very hard to show in such a short GIF and you’d really need to see it in game to get a full feel for it. If this does well but doesn’t win I might add this option to one scene just so you can have a go with it and see how good it is.

More Head Redesigns

It has been a long time now since I started doing the character head redesigns and I think at the start people didn’t think they were the best thing for the game but now that its been some Time and a lot of the characters have had a head redesign people are really liking them and I hope that is the same for everyone. I have a lot more heads that I would like to redesign as well as some variations for some of the newer characters such as a different hair style for Mercy or the night variation of Carrot and I think if I was able to focus on them fully for one of the updates I could maybe get around 10 redone.

Here are a look at some of the ones I would still like to do.

If this looks like its doing well in the polls ill get some more sketches done and will be able to show you them at the start of the month then we could maybe vote on which ones you’d like to see done.

I could also do some more head designs and options for Charlie if this wins if thats something you'd like to see

Also if there are any other variations for characters you think could be good let me know and I’ll do them.

Still Images + Animated Still Images + Easier Switching Between Images

This one is going to be a lot of parts all revolving around the still images so i'll split them into sections for you.

Firstly the still images themselves. I think between the first and the month update and the mid month update there is about two weeks. In this time I think I will be able to get around 10 images done along with all the other stuff I want to do.

Secondly I would also like to get some of the image animations done, however I do have a lot of other stuff I want to add at the moment and also work on some other improvements for this so I think I could maybe to 2 or 3 of these depending how much time I have.

Thirdly I want to start adding some options to these like speed sliders and maybe some sound effects if I have time.

Finally a lot of people have been asking to make it easier to go through all the images without having to back out of each one so i'm going to add in a system that will let you click or swipe through the images for that character and then also let you switch between the characters the same way it does with the scroll wheel in scenes. I would also like to make a site that will hold all these images so if you would like to view them in 4K HD then you can click a button in the app and it will take you to where you can view that image

New House Themes/Backgrounds + Adding More Night Backgrounds

I have added this as a little extra option to see how many people would like this. There hasn’t been a new house theme for a while now so would be nice to get maybe 1 or 2 added. I’m not 100% sure what theme I would like to go with but I was thinking maybe one from and show and then one generic one similar to the Lava & Bamboo ones. Let me know if you do have any ideas for this though even if it’s not going to win as I would like to do some more anyway in the future.

If you have any other ideas for options please let me know I could add them to the list to be added in the months that new options get added but I hope you like the options above either way. It would be nice to get a completely new option added for the one next month :D
