It actually ended up being ok when I started playing the newer version. Suddenly the laptop was sitting on the bed. The only odd bit was since Dad is around during that quest, he kept showing up even though he'd already been kicked out of the house. The game needs a bit more funneling, I think, to ensure the laptop storyline has progressed before the dad-gets-evicted events in the sister story.

The only thing I can suggest for now is just to make a separate save file and start from a loaded preset instead of from the very beginning.

Yeah, it is. It's a strange problem that is new to us and I've only just found out the reason behind it. Which is weird because it doesn't happen with my game but it happens with other people's games. I don't know if it happens with EVERYONE's games but I did get a few comments about it.

In that sequence, you have to go to the living room in the afternoon and it'll ask if you wanna wait for mom. That's why I specifically wrote it to say 'before the sunsets'. It should work, otherwise I have no idea. You'll miss your hangout with mom which then you can visit the livingroom at night to proceed the story

yo gee i have the .10c and i cant continue the mom saga after the hole "mom and son" "afternoon" it says to meet her before the afternoon and for the love of "blue~balls" i cant get it to happen and i think you said something about moms having different cloths...... that's not happening and compared to the .9? one i use to have i just love it and its a huge improvement and if i had money id throw it at you so fast anywhoo keep it up and plz let me know if its just the 10.c or something else and if its not HELP!

Yes, how it works is EVERY update except the most recent one is available to the public. So whenever I release a new update, the previous update will turn from patron-only to public. If you want to be up to date, it's only a $1, same price as a cheap icecream.

Haha yeah thanks. I'm glad I listened to feedback and fixed the hands. Maybe I originally went TOO overboard with the 'simplistic' approach. The way I do the artstyle is a lot cleaner now as I'm going back and revamping old art. One example is Effie's milkshake date scene. She no longer looks like a witch (starting from 0.11)
