Main Post

Hey everyone I hope you’re all having a good day. I’ve got quite a lot of new things i’m testing and improving upon to show you so there’s a lot of things I am really interested to hear your feedback on. There is also a new system of code I have added in, nothing really for you to test out yet but its in preparation for the scene things update I will be focusing on next month.

New Input System

I wanted to speak about this first just as its a new thing that I’d like to make sure there aren’t any problems with. At the moment the way things work to do with keyboard clicks and swipe stuff on android is the code will be checking all the time for if one of them is happening. This is fine for now as it doesn’t need to check for much but one of the ideas I had for the scene things update was to add a lot more things you can do with your keyboard or a swipe on android. These will be things like fully turning off the UI an allowing you to change the speed, cr*ampie, toggle between outfits etc all with your keyboard.

This is still an early idea, and I will do a poll at the start of next month to see if people really want it, but for now I thought it would be a good idea to add the system that will allow me to do this in just to make sure it all runs smoothly. Im sure it will but if you could just look out for anything not working like it used to then that would be great :)

I also have lots of other ideas for things I’d like to put in the scene things update so there should be a big poll in a few days to decide what gets focused on.

New Character - Nico Robin

Now you all probably knew it was going to be her by how well she ended up doing in the poll and also the fact that she has been asked for for a while now. I’ve also spent a lot of time on her heads to try and get them looking as good as possible and even went over it a second time to add as much detail as possible. If you haven’t seen he before and after there should be a couple of images in the last WIP if you want to go see that.

Quest

Anyway for her quest I have kind of gone for a follow on from the Carrot quest being in the fact you’ll need to unlock Carrot first in order to progress onto Nico Robin.

For her actual quest I have gone with another little puzzle game but one that lead onto some more future quest with her. When meeting her she will ask you to help her fix a map that leads you to some treasure. The treasure finding part of the map quest will probably be used for a future character unlock as I think that could be quite a good way to keep the story going but after you fix the map for her she will join the house. I think this puzzle is also a bit better as all the pieces join perfectly to each other which should make it a bit easier to complete.

Scenes

Now onto getting her added to scenes, like with all characters I have got her added to the first batch of scenes up to Hole 2 and will then focus on getting her added to the rest in the coming updates.

Let me know if you see any texture problems with er or anything not syncing up perfectly and I’ll get that fixed.

Audio

For her audio I have done the same thing as with Chel where I added some “Yesss” and “Ohhhh yess” sounds as from what I saw with Chel people really seemed to like them. I do have some of this audio ready for some other characters but want to make sure that everyone likes it first before I start adding it to the other characters.

So if you didn’t get to see it with Chel hopefully you’ll get to now and just let me know what you think of it and then if its good I’ll add it to the other characters.

Also this is a new voice actor so let me know what you think of them, I thought getting some different ones might give a bit more variation to the characters so let me know if you like it and I can get them to do some future characters.

Other than all of that just let me know if there could be any improvements with her or just anything you think could be done better :)

New Outfits

This is another thing I need a little bit of feedback for, I’ll start off with the M*ssonary V2 stuff as that’s where I have the examples. So for this scene so far I have managed to get an outfit added for both Carrot and Mitsuri both of these looking very nice and having multiple parts.

The outfits also work with both leg positions.

I also did some updates to the mercy outfit from last month as there was some things that didn’t sync up the best so I’ve made them look better.

Now the thing I wanted to ask you about is a kind of Quality over Quantity kind of thing. I have been improving my drawing a lot recently and hopefully you can see that but to really take it to the next level I think I need to spend a bit more time on things to get them perfect so this is where it really comes down to what you want. I still have the same amount of time to do things so what would have to happen is that I do a bit less at a better quality for example instead of 6 outfits I’d do 3 maybe 4 if I really tried but ill say 3 as this extra detail does take me about twice as long. To give you an example of the kind of extra detail her is the difference between the two on Carrots outfit.

Obviously the one that had more time spent on it looks a lot better but the question is does it look better enough to be worth having less of them done at this higher quality. I’m fine either way just let me know what you’d prefer.

Next was something that a few of people have been asking for for a while now and that’s unique p*nts for the girls, instead of full on outfits just a small thing to make the ones that don’t have their full outfits yet a but more unique. I used to do this at the start of the game just to give each girl something a bit different but then started doing the full outfits so didn’t do anymore.

However seeing as some people were asking for it I thought it might be nice to add some new ones in and I thought the best scene to do this would be the b*objob scene as you get quite a nice view of it there and also in this scene you can use any of them with any of the other characters.

I managed to get quite a lot done so I’ll try show you most of them here.

If you do like this I could add them to either another scene, I was thinking the d*epthroat V2 scene, or I could add them to the rest of the girls in the b*objob scene who don’t yet have their full unique outfit.

Just let me know what you think and we can go from there :) Of course if you don’t want me to do anymore of them just let me know as well and I can focus on some other outfits.

Finally onto some generic outfits, I managed to get two of these done for the f*otjob scene as I thought it would be quite nice to get some more stuff added there. Like with the Carrot outfit I have spent more time on these making sure they look as good as possible, hopefully you can see the improvement compared to some other outfits. But please do let me know what you think, these do take a bit longer so is it worth spending more time on them to get them looking the best?

Characters Added To Scenes

For this update adding characters to scenes I wanted to focus on some characters that were missing from previous scenes instead of getting more added to the newer ones. The first of these being a couple missing from the Rev C*wgirl (Front) V2 scene.

Next a lot of people have wanted Loona, Lola etc added to some more scenes and the one I have chosen for this update is the jack o scene.

This is how they are looking, I would like to add some more details to them soon but don’t know what could make them look better so let me know.

Next I wanted to get some added to the POV On Top scene as I have made some improvements to it as well to fix some of the texture things that didn’t look quite right.

Here’s how a couple of them look although for Mitsuri I have had to redraw her head a bit so that the hair can actually be behind it, normally it would be in front but for this scene it didn’t really work so let me know what you think of that.

Finally I got Chel added to a few more of her scenes, not all of them have been added for her yet as there was a lot of other things I was focusing but I’ll try to get the rest done next update.

Character Head Designs - Luka & Jessica R

I have managed to get two character head designs this time which is very nice and i’m very impressed with how both of these look.

Firstly with Jessica R I have gone for a different kind of look that does look really nice however if people like the other look for her I do have a sketch of that too so can do an updated version of that.

Both of her heads will still be in the game though so you can pick which one you like.

I have also got her added to every scene which has taken some time but is worth it to get it all done at one.

Next a lot of people really liked the look of the Luka sketch so I managed to get that done.

Luka’s head was one of the first ones I ever did and really didn’t look the best XD so I’m really happy with how this one has turned out and think it looks so much better.

It will be in all of her scenes as well and will probably change this one to be the default is i’m pretty sure most people will like this one over the old one.

But let me know what you think of these and if there is any bugs with them syncing up with the body or anything else as adding them to a lot of scenes some of them might not have been perfectly added but it should be a pretty easy fix.

I still have some other heads that need to be redone and will also try to get some sketches done for some others as even if some of the current heads look good getting another one done does improve the overall look of them either way.

Still Images & New Image Animation

Starting off quickly with the actual images themselves, the first one I have gone for is of Vault Girl and will have 4 variations like they normally do.

I have also got one done for Mrs McPherson making that two of the newer girls getting images this update, like with the other it will also have 4 variations.

Now onto the really fun stuff that I showed you a bit of in the WIP. I have done another image animation with help from someone who is better at this than me and uses a software that is way better than the one I use. I went with Charlie M first as that was probably the best one to show it all and get it looking as good as possible.

As you can hopefully see it looks a lot better than the other ones and I was also able to get the second version done.

Following on from what people were saying about this one in the WIP I got one done for Loona that also has both the variations, having two is quite nice and hopefully gives you more to just see how much better it looks and if you’d like to see more of it

New Backgrounds - Day & Night

Last update I added some backgrounds that had a Day & Night variation and a lot of people seemed to like them, even though it was just a small detail it seemed to add a lot more to the overall feel of the game.

Following on from this I have added all the themes to thew new scene along with a day & night variation which you can see a lot better being that the scene is outside.

Hopefully you like all this and I will continue to add some more night variations to other backgrounds probably focusing on the upstairs scenes first then working my way to the rest.

QOL Stuff

Finally just some overall improvements, I spoke a bit about the Mitsuri head design update fro the front facing and was wondering if it might work better in some of the other scenes where the hair gets in the way a bit.

I also managed to reduce the file size of the game a bit, but like when I normally do this not really XD basically I have reduced the size but then added more new stuff than the amount I reduced it by so overall the size has gone up, it has actually gone up quite a lot this update, it think this may be due to the new animations but I’ll have a look and see if I can reduce it some more for the next update.

Edit - I’ve figured out what’s making the file size so much more on android so I’ll get that fixed next update

Let me know if there’s anything else that could be improved though to make the game feel better.
