Owen may be wrong about a lot of things but he wasn't wrong about this. Christina needed to work this out in her own way. Mer also completely disregard Owen when he was in charge in the OR. I love Mer but she was wrong here. When Owen paused he was trying to think what to do and Mer was taking her anger out in that moment.

2024-05-16 02:23:03 +0000 UTCi love Eli, he’s one of my favorite nurse besides Bokhee. i legit can’t stand Owen, he’s so insecure whenever any resident does anything better than him and he thinks he knows everything, besides the fact that like you said he would have done nothing and let the patient die had Mer not badgered him. and Meredith is absolutely right about him marrying Cristina, he shouldn’t have. he did it while she was in an emotional crisis. and i loved the delicious commentary.

I think the show didn't do as well in that scene with them showing how Meredith was pressuring and overriding too much with Christina. I said last week Mer is perpetually not really ok in a cPTSD state. Christina is too (with PTSD) because of her experience with her dad, but is usually otherwise alright. She experienced a massive trauma and can't just power through to the other side like Mer can. The photo moment in this episode was proving Mer wrong and Owen and Derek right about Christina working in her own time. Sometimes Meredith is wrong and I'm glad they show that. As I said O can eat it and the hate train probably won't be leaving the station for the remainder, but Mer needed to check herself this episode.

However, when he told Meredith not to put another stitch in the patient, she should have listened… he is an attending, so he was right about her needing to leave the personal baggage outside of the OR. On the other hand, however, I really love watching Christina and Derek’s friendship become so much more than their mutual love of Meredith!! It’s so sweet the way he’s looking out for her! Can’t wait to watch more episodes with you!!!

SOO glad shes back shes my second favourite character behind alex 🤍
