They both did what they thought was best and most supportive of their women, but I think Ben did it right, while Owen did it wrong. Ben took baileys boundaries and honoured them. While Owen may have been trying to do the same, I think any sensible person would not agree with a marriage after a shooting. The ring should have been a symbol of his commitment to staying with Cristina and helping her through her trauma, the wedding can come later.

And Bailey said in the flight that she visited her parents for a month so it’s been a month from the shooting. Mertina always melt me, “Derek is the love of my life but you are my soulmate”!

2023-10-09 16:58:31 +0000 UTCYeah, I honestly couldn't tell when I first watched it if we were supposed to be weary of the wedding, or genuinely seeing it as a "silver lining" compared to the shooting, like Lexi said. But my 2023 eyes are leaning more towards that the writing intention was skepticism? Anyone else? Because I honestly can't tell sometimes with what's presented if what I feel is just what I feel or what the writers actually intend for viewers to take away, especially in these later seasons.

Plus they’re all ofc still healing and hurting so very small and intimate is probably all they had it in them to do. I thought it was a cute scene!
