2023-09-21 02:07:21 +0000 UTCYeeees! I did mention there would be some future Academy Award winners still to pop up, Melissa Leo (earlier in the season), and this episode featured Jessica Chastain. This has never been one of my favorite episodes of the first season, but even episodes that aren't "favs" still do some great story building: the romantic connection between Veronica's Mom and Duncan's Dad; and a little more background on Weevil and Lilly. And, I'd never given it too much thought, but the "thump" heard by Veronica may have been a suitcase falling. In the scene when she sneaks into the apartment, when she enters the bedroom her flashlight just goes over a suitcase askew in the closet.
