That last scene - I can't watch. I had to hide that portion of the screen. I love Gabriel and when I was watching at this point of the show I firmly believed that Gabriel tricked Lucifer and is still alive (I will not say whether I was right or wrong, but that was my thoughts on my first watch). Was it denial? Possibly, he's one of my favourite characters on this show outside of the main cast. I've loved him since his first episode!
