So, the mom with the donor baby is from angel- you might have seen her there. Sam mostly likely thought that he was standing up for Naomi- basically telling everyone to grow up, work harder and not put things on her. It is somewhat condescending, but in his mind he is “helping” her. Agreed they could have done it privately, but I think Sam’s thinking is that Naomi’s already been doing it alone for so long he wants to bring everyone in at once. The greys/private practice/ station 19 families are messy.
