Just getting around to finishing this season with you now. The at your eye twitches whenever JoJo comes on screen is sending me 😭😭 she really is a terribly actor. Loved her on dance moms in reality tv but I have no idea why they had to add her to this show. It really does take you out of it

2023-08-03 01:06:21 +0000 UTChonestly i didn't really like Jojo as Gadget's love interest in the show it took me out of the story as soon as i heard her voice... now don't get me wrong I love JoJo always have since dance moms but something about her acting just doesnt flow with me... The song Madoxx and Jet sang at the prom was "Wouldn't Change a Thing" from Camp Rock 2 I believe if i'm not mistaken most of the camp rock songs have been from the sequal even though they showed some of the first movie... also I like the remix they did for wouldn't change a thing" but i'm still a lover of the origional ballad between Demi and Joe they did in the movie I love the twist with the show of a brother/sister family love versus a romatic story but I love ballad's... In defense of Ricky Season 1-2 mostly season 2 he was dealing with his parents seperation and the divorce as well as his break up with Nini and all the jelousy from that which was the bulk of season 1 to begining of season 2 so he hadn't found a chance to really get to know himself as a person besides all these emotions so I feel like this summer camp was a great idea for the character to rediscover himself and solidify who he is as an indivdual

2023-08-03 00:29:07 +0000 UTCI'm so glad you loved this episode, it really is great. As someone who suffers a lot with anxiety, Kourtney's journey this season means a lot to me. And that song is just incredible. It makes me cry every time too. Dara Renée, who plays Kourtney, co-wrote the song and it's about her own anxiety struggles as well as Kourtney's. And I think that makes the song extra special. I also love how we've had the storyline this season of Carlos struggling with his body image. Male body image issues aren't talked about enough on TV, especially with skinny guys. So I loved that. And all the stuff with Ashlyn is amazing. It was great to see Seb too and having him sing with Carlos was brilliant, I've missed his voice. And, despite Jojo's acting, it was great to meet Maddison and see her with Maddox. There's SO much representation in this show, maybe more than any other show around right now, and the fact that it's a Disney show makes it even more surprising and awesome. The show runner Tim Federle is a gay man and he said his biggest aim for the show was bringing representation to Disney and that's exactly what he's done. And there's even more to come. As for the Gina/EJ/Ricky situation. I usually hate love triangles but I feel that this one has been handled brilliantly. Ricky has been so selfless, he's kept his feelings to himself and he hasn't interfered at all in EJ and Gina's relationship. He just waited for it to implode on it's own, which it now has thanks to EJ being an actual jerk. He's not a bad person and he is under a lot of pressure, but how he treated Gina was inexcusable for me. She had to end it. As for Ricky, he's DOWN BAD lol. The way his voice cracked when she walked in wearing that jumpsuit said it all haha. And their little moment in the coat check room was really cute. The song they played over the moment when Ricky and Gina locked eyes is called the Rina cue. It's a specific piece of music that's been played over every moment they've had together in the show. And I'm glad that he didn't tell her about his feelings just after she broke up with EJ. Gina broke up with EJ because he's been putting himself and the show over her, whereas Ricky his putting her above his own feelings. That says a lot. One last thing, the song that Jet and Maddox sung was called Wouldn't Change A Thing and it's another Camp Rock song, that's why you don't know it. They actually changed it a lot, the original is a slow ballad. I like this version more. And they really have done Jet and Maddox's storylines SO well, these are brand new characters but yet after 7 episodes we already care about them enough to be emotional about them fixing their problems. That's good writing. And I love that we've had a major storyline and big songs about a brother and sister relationship instead of just about romances, that's something so different. Ok, I'll shut up now lol. I just love this show SO much and I'm glad you do too. Now you see why we were all so excited for you to get to this season. Can't wait for the finale, it's got some amazing moments. 😊
