Hello Everyone, I hope you’re all having a good start to the month. Im going to try and keep this post short so I can show you everything and also as I have a lot of features that I am working on that I need to get right back to. The first thing i’m going to show you is a little WIP of the Feature Focus thing I’ve worked on towards the end of last month and going forward getting ready for the Feature Focus Update. There’s still a lot I need to do with it as its quite a complex thing to code but so far I think I have a good base to show you.

Note - This is not in this update this is just a small showcase of how its going

Feature Focus Progress (This is a showcase and is not in the game yet)

Firstly I would like to say it was a very close poll again with the outfits coming in a very close second. As this is the case again I will be trying to get some outfits added as well or get the ability to use outfits across all characters feature added to another scene.

Anyway on to this feature and it is looking way cooler than I expected. My original thought was to have have maybe 5 - 7 places in the scene where you could click to C*m and then you would be able to clean them up and go again. Each one would also have 3 like C*mshots that happen when you click and that would be it. However while coding it I wanted to try something new and see if it can be done, so what I have done is stick with the 3 C*mshots for each place however these will now only play one when you click and it will randomly pick one of the 3 to show as you can see below.

This is cool just by itself as it allows for a bit more of a random feel however where it really gets cool is I’ve managed to get it to do as many C*mshots as you would like and quite quickly as well as you can see here.

I think this is a cooler and more fun way of doing this feature as it gives you way more control over how much C*m you want and also the exact place you click will be where it lands. Now you won’t be able to go overboard with this as there does have to be a limit in order to stop any performance problems but so far I have that limit set to 40 C*mshots and I think it could maybe go higher depending on if anyone has any problems.

This is just a quick showcase though, hopefully you are excited for how its coming along and I also have some sketch stuff done for some other scenes which i’ll show you a bit in the progress report. 

PS. I talk about this a bit more in the progress report but i think for some of the other scenes it might be better to have this feature work in a similar way to the Squ*rting and F*ta C*m where you select the location but then it will happen in a set location, this will allow me to have the C*m stay when the animation restarts

Multiple Girls In Scenes Progress (Hole 2 Code Update)

This is less of a new feature and more something I need you to test so if you want to you can skip this part. If you would like to help though the multiple girls scenes will first be coming to the Hole 2 scene as that seems the most simple to get it added too. In preparation for this I have converted all the Hole 2 characters over to the new way of loading which is the same way the outfits for the B*objob scene now work. If everything goes well you shouldn’t notice any difference apart from the fact that when the load bar for the scene is full it will then say loading character with a % completed next to it, exactly how it does for the B*objob scene. This might actually have the scene load quicker overall but probably not noticeable.

Anyway the thing I need you to make sure of is that the scenes do in fact load, all the features still work in the scenes like Pan/Zoom, Switching between characters in the scene, the scroll wheel etc. If you do find any problems please let me know as soon as possible and I’ll get it fixed.

The good news for all of this is that if this has gone smoothly then Multiple Gils In Hole 2 will be one of the options in the next feature focus poll. Then if that all goes smoothly I can starting doing some sketch animations that will be fully focused around having multiple characters in scenes including their heads.

Adding Characters To Scenes

Now onto the stuff you’re used to. Last update as it was a feature focus one I didn’t manage to get many characters added to scenes they weren’t in. For this one I have got a decent amount more done and also over quite a wide range of scenes.

Starting off with Android 21 I have got her added to the rest of her scenes, apart from the most recent shower scene.

Then for some reason both Poison Ivy and Marceline were missing out on one of their scenes which I hadn’t notice so I got both of them added.

I continued with adding characters to the new Shower Against Glass scene and got a lot more done for that which is nice. I would like to get Mirko, Ahsoka, Loona, Roxy Etc all added to this scene soon. I know Loona, Roxy etc still need to be added to some other scenes made a while ago but I think this scene would do very well for them so might get it done first.

I also got some more added to the D*epthroat V2 scene as there was some missing for that. I would also like to get Loona, Roxy Etc added to this scene but its between this and the Shower Against Glass scene for which one I do first.

Finally I added a lot more to the Rev C*wgirl (Front) V2 as it has been a while since I added any to that.

Overall I think its been quite good for adding characters to scenes considering there’s a lot of different scenes they have had to be added to. As next update is going to be a feature focus one I will probably only be able to get a few more characters added to scenes however you will also be getting the new scene which should come with a decent batch of characters.

More Outfits

Last update came the much anticipated outfit system update which seems to have gone down very well. For this updated I wanted to focus on adding outfits the the B*objob scene as I think there I where it will have he most impact thanks to the new feature.

For two of these outfits I also tried something a bit different which personally I think looks better but i'll let you decide.

The first 4 are for Aqua, Android 18 and Roxy, Dva where they all look very nice although for Android 18 I think her jacket could have benefited with this new thing im trying.

For Judy H most of her outfit was animated in the same way as the others, the place where I tried this new thing is on her vest, particularly on the strap that goes over her shoulder.

Ill show you a little animation here on another character to give you a better idea of how it works but basically the strap bends with the arm to make it look more realistic. I think it looks quite good but let me know your thoughts.

For Elastigirl i also used the same animation method as with Judy but instead on her glove, you should be able to see how it bends more naturally with the arm. However there was one thing with her I have had to remove, the logo on her suit. Due to the scene having a lot going on where the logo would be it was very hard to get it added in and even then after trying lots of different ways of positioning it I just couldn’t get it to look good. Hopefully you’re ok with that and it doesn’t take away from the outfit itself.

All these outfits can also be used with any character you like :)

New Character Head Designs

I haven’t done these for a while and unfortunately it doesn’t look like its going to win the Feature Focus Poll. So for this update I thought it would be nice to get at least one character head ReDone and for that I have gone with Gwen TDI as she is again one of the older characters who’s head wasn’t drawn the best the fist time.

This is how the new updated one is looking, I hope you like it a lot more.

However just like with the other heads you will still be able to use the old one of that’s one you prefer, the choice is up to you. (She has been added to all her scenes though so should work for which ever one you want)

I also had a bit of extra time so managed to get Dva done as well. Her original head wasn’t the best and a few people had been asking for it to be ReDone. 3D heads are quite hard to convert into 2D but I hope this new one looks a lot better and should go nicely with her outfit.

Still Images

Im going to split this into two sections as there’s a lot I want to talk about to do with the Image Animations but for the still images I have managed to get the Roxy image fully done and that is in the game now.

I also managed to get the mirror one for Marceline done which I hope you like. Its quite a cool thing having both views in the same image and it has given me an idea for the new scene which I’ll talk about in the progress report.

Still Image Animation

Starting off with this like with the Character Head Designs this doesn’t look like ti will win the Feature Focus Poll but this small addition could maybe change peoples minds for future polls.

For these I have gone with a Mirko Image and Ahsoka Image to animate and I think they have come out quite well.

I’ve improved a bit on the way I animate these, instead of it just being between two positions I have tried to give it a bit more motion which I think looks better.

Now onto the performance and quality fixes with this. For a long time the reason I haven’t been doing many of these is because they take up so much storage and even then I have to reduce the quality of them so its not like a massive amount of storage. Now though I have found a way to reduce the storage and also incased the quality back up to HD. I did talk about this a bit in the last WIP saying it seems too good to be true and that isn’t really the case apart from one small problem. Basically when you are watching the animation if you move the mouse the video will pause. I don’t know exactly what is causing this but I do know a way I can reduce this a bit so it only pauses if you move the mouse really quick. However I still think this small thing is a good trade of as you probably won’t be moving the mouse when watching it much and you also get the animation in a higher quality and reduced file size (20mb Less). Let me know what you think though as I can always change it back but for now I think this is the best option.

Performance Increases

For this update I have also had to do a lot of performance increases and fit size reduction in preparation for the Multiple Girls feature. Now for the file size you may have seen it has increased by around 50mb where as most updates only increase between 10mb and 20mb. This is mainly because of the system that loads in full scenes and it would have been a lot more if I hadn’t found other places to reduce the file size, however now that this system is in any addition to it won’t increase the file size be nearly as much. I hope you’re all ok with this file size increase as it isn’t too much and the benefits will hopefully outweigh the increase very soon.

Now onto performance increases, I have reduced the overall total scenes for the game now by a decent amount as well which will have reduced the file size a bit but more importantly will help with the running of the game. Like with a lot of performance increases I think a lot of you may not even notice them due to your devices being able to handle most things however they are there and they are helping which is always a good thing.

The main thing I would like you to look out for here is any scenes loading the wrong thing as I have had to reorder some of the scenes after removing the old ones so could have made a mistake, if you do just let me know which scene you were trying to load and which one it did end up loading and that will really help.

Another idea I have had for reducing the file size a bit more is to do with the audio, this could take a bit of time so might not be able to fully change it but the plan would be to have all the background sounds as there own little section and then randomly pick one as the scene loops. This means I won’t need to have a different background audio clip for each scene.

Finally a small thing as there has been a lot of bugs from the last update due to the amount of new stuff that was added. I did try to fix all the ones I was told about but if I have missed any please let me know.

Hopefully you all like this update, I don’t know if this feels a bit smaller than normal updates or if that’s just because the last update had some much new stuff. If it does feel smaller don’t worry as I have been working on lots of stuff in the background ready for the mid moth update next month as that’s going to have a completely new feature a long with a new scene so i’m very excited for all that.
