May Progress Report + Character Theme Poll

Hey everyone, I hope you’re having a good start to the month. This post is going to be a half Progress Report to let you know what’s going on this month and also a small poll just to see what kind of theme you would like for this months character poll so I’ll start with that :)

This Months Character Poll

For this months character poll there have been a lot of different suggestions for what the theme should be and its been a tough one to figure out which one I should go for so I thought I’d let you decide. Of course if you do have any suggestions for a different themed poll let me know as there’s still time and if it seems more people want something else then I can always switch it, and even if people would still rather the options below and other theme ideas you have are appreciated and can be used in future polls. Anyway these are the ideas I had.

This Months Scene Poll

So last month for the scene poll we had the first “Themed” poll just like we are now doing with the characters and I think it went very well. Last month it was between different screens for the Hole Scene and with Hole 1 winning that is what I’m going to be working on at the start of the month.

Now for this months Scene Poll a lot of people have been asking to get the FJ scene in for a while and the best way to do this I think is with a themed scene poll, so for this month there is going to be 4 different FJ scenes for you to pick from so by Mid Month next month there will be a FJ scene fully in the game. The Scene Poll, just like with the Character Poll, will be around the 16th of May depending what time zone you’re in.

At the moment I have 3 of the animation sketches ready for them with the forth one on the way, hopefully in time for the WIP in about a week. For now here is the most recent one I have done and if you would like to see the rest you can view them all in the WIP post by clicking HERE.

Filling Up The Scenes With more Characters

If you have played the most recent update or viewed the Update Post you might have seen that there has been a lot more characters added to scenes they weren’t in this update than normal. I think normally there is around 20-25 added but with this update I managed I think 37 if I counted correct. This is something I would like to try and keep doing as there is a lot of characters that haven’t been added to scenes and it would be nice to try and get them all filled up.

I will be working on and adding the new screen to Hole 1 this next week so that might take up a bit of time but I’m hoping I’ll still be able to get a decent amount of characters added to other scenes.

New Outfit Animation

Last month I was also able to add more outfits than normal which is always nice. This was thanks to a new way of animating that I am trying out, you will see this in the Mirko And Rebecca M*ssionary V2 Scenes and the Aqua C*wgirl Gr*nding Scene. Now this is still new and there are a few problems with it at the moment. Firstly if you look really closely you may notice a slight loss in quality, this is more apparent the running on a large monitor or screen, luckily I already have a fix for this and going forward all the outfits done this way should be in a good quality as I can get them.

Secondly the way of animating I’m still learning so it will only get better over time, the main benefit of this way is it always me to add more detail to the outfits without it taking to long, that has been the problem in the past with either have to choose lots of detail or a shorter amount of time to draw. You will probably see this the most in the Rebecca outfit as I was able to add a lot of cool effects to this with lots more detail around the whole thing.

Adding more B*ob Sizes To More Scenes

This was another thing I was working on last update that I think has come out very well. I added it for the D*ggy Close Up and M*ssionary V2 scenes and am really liking having the option to not only pick between different sizes of B*obs but also the way the behave.

My question now though is which other scenes would you like this to be added to. A lot of people will probably say the D*ggy scene which would be nice, but keep in mind with these extra variations they won’t work with the outfits that can have the B*ob size changed. The way I have this work is if you pick one of the Medium sizes and have an outfit covering the B*obs active it will just use the Medium size that works with that outfit until you take the outfit off. Hopefully that’s a good way of doing it but do let me know if you have any ideas about it.

Outfit Poll

Another thing about the outfits, there will be a poll in about a week with a lot more outfits, unique to the characters, as I would like to keep getting better with this new way of animating and I think doing it with lots of different kinds of outfits is the best way to go about that.

For this one instead of focusing on a scene it’s going to be focusing on some characters across a range of scenes. The characters it will mainly focus on (But will also include some others) are.

• Carrot

• Charlie M

• Marceline

• Yorha 2B

• Yor Forger

I think it will be nice to get them some outfits at least in a few of the scenes each.

Hole 1 Upgrade

If you haven’t read the Update Post basically in preparation for the Hole 1 Screen that I’ll be adding I have had to complete re work the code and set up for the Hole 1 scene, this took a very long time but I have got it set up now where I can add things easily to it.

The main thing I wanted to ask you is if you have any problems with this scene, like things not working or quests not completing please let me know and I will get it sorted right away.

If there aren’t any major problems however this would be a good time to add some more unique outfits to this scene as I think it will help to differentiate each character a bit more.

More Small Features

Although the B*ob sizes winning the last small feature poll there were some other smaller and easier to add things that did quite well that I thought would be nice to add in anyway if I get a bit of spare time.

The first of these is the speed randomiser, a lot of people thought this was a good idea and I think for the scenes that already have the speed slider in this should be a relatively easy thing to add. With this though I think it might be a good idea to also add one of the other poll options that did well, that is the having things save from one scene to the other. These will be small things like Speed, If the guy is active, View Toggle, Has been cr*ampied Etc. To start with these will be save specific, this means what is set for one character will be set for all, however in the future I will be able to add it so you can have all of these things set for each character and also add a menu where you can edit them all at once. This part will take a bit longer but it will be a process of adding these things over time to make sure there are no bugs.
