Having read the books, Armand is definitely kind of a big deal to be intro'd in the show especially in this way, as it's completely new to the show having him roleplay as Louis' maid π€£ They're doing a great job staying true to the source while keeping readers on our toes

2024-09-01 17:29:18 +0000 UTCI love Louis and Claudia's relationship. It really is sweet. More like sibling's that have a strong bond and would do anything for each other. Also, Armand is a character from the books. So it was an interduction to the character, but if you were fans of the books or other movies based on them, you would be freaking out at the intro. Side note: I would highly recommend A Discovery of Witches to you both. It's newly on Netflix. It's got a unique take on Vampires. It's a limited run series which will only ever be 3 seasons of 8-12 episodes each (all released and available to watch). In a way, it's a bit like Twilight or Vampire Diaries for grownups, and the story is very intriguing. Rizzo, since their take on Vampires is so unique, you might have fun with guessing the powers. And they talk enough about the "rules" of the vampires by episode 3 that you will have a pretty good understanding of them. There are a lot of different types of relationship dynamics in this, and the main relationship has it's will they/won't they moments without a love triangle (which seemed to frustrate you about Twilight). Benji, you get your vampires, some great relationship dynamics, and my favorite same sex couple on tv. The characters don't "sing about it" π but there's a lot in it that I think you will really like. And both the story and characters are good. I always tell people that watching your reactions is like watching a movie/show with best friends. You have amazing insights and sincerity sprinkled in with an all over the map fun approach to watching them. And I love all of the references you add in because that's exactly what my brain does. I haven't been allowed to watch anything that way for a very long time, and I appreciate that I get to do it vicariously through the two of you. In a lot of ways with my isolation, your reactions have been a lifeline for me. There are a few things that have saved me over the last 5 years and your channel is one. It makes me feel connected and not so alone. Thank you both so much for all of the time and energy you spend on your videos. They've helped me more than I can say. Love your reactions so much and I hope you think about A Discovery of Witches when you are looking for your next watch. Would love to see what you do with it.
