It's been a while since I said anything beyond dropping chapters, sorry about that, I've been quite busy trying to keep to the schedule. I haven't broken it yet (aside from the 1 day delays) so I'm quite proud of that.
With that being said, we are close to the end of Syl book 4. I'm not 100% sure when it'll be ending and I'd like to say chapter 310 for a nice round number but I might undershoot it, we'll see.
But I wanted to give a heads-up that when Syl 4 ends, I'll be taking a 2 week break before starting Syl 5.
I need the time to compile all the book 4 chapters, go through some of the edits (before sending it to the actual editor), and also refresh the batteries.
Bunny chapters will continue as per normal, just like Syl continued during the Bunny 1 break.
Likewise I'll keep the Royal Road chapters going and give them a 2 week pause at the end of book 4, like I did with Bunny, as that seemed to work out quite well. Certainly better than pausing in the middle of the book like I did with Syl 3's break.
Anyway, enough about that. I got some other stuff to show.
Some of you might have noticed it already, but book 4's cover (art without the typography) was finally finished! Here it is:
We're going for "Synthesis" as the subtitle this time.
I'll also be including the April Fools chapter as bonus content at the end of the book because I desperately want to hear Ellory and Matt do xianxia voices. Hopefully it's hilarious.
Speaking of covers.... While we are only on book 2 I've actually already received the artwork for Bookbound Bunny 3.
Selkie at Mango Media likes to get the covers as soon as possible in case of delays (Syl 4's cover being a prime example, it was ordered immediately when 3's cover finished) which means we're ahead of schedule for Bunny.
Figured I'd show it off as well since I think it's really great!

2025-08-11 08:47:12 +0000 UTCThank the gods there isn't 4 ears on the bun this time. I couldn't bring myself to even look at the last cover after seeing that. It just weirded me out too much, sorry. This is so much better! Let the people who need it imagine there's another set behind her hair, while those of us who don't imagine there isn't ^_^ As for Syl's cover, I was kinda thinking we might get a Vee appearance, at least in a corner or something. Kinda a shame but no big deal. Enjoy your break; you've certainly earned it!
