Reader Survey

Hi all, I hope you are doing well.

With Bookbound Bunny about to reach the end of book 1 I have had a question on my mind for some time now - what does the distribution of my readers look like?

Are you here only for Syl? Are you only here for Lily (and Arakil)? Or are you here for both? I'm curious to see how much overlap my two stories have.

On Royal Road it's quite easy to tell, but on Patreon it's unfortunately a little ambiguous since I didn't opt to split the story into its own tier and create a new hybrid tier.

The third option could also be seen as a "I'm here for whatever you write" tier, or at least that's how I'll choose to interpret it!

I honestly wish I could output the insane amount of words I've seen other writers do, so that I could throw around more of the ideas I've got bouncing around, but I can't do that without negatively impacting Syl or Bunny's consistency.

So I gotta wait till one of my stories ends entirely or potentially toy with the idea of writing a new story between books. It's something I've seen other authors do, but I worry about losing long term fans who are only here for 1 story.

I really want to do something xianxia/cultivation (slime or not, I was honestly very surprised how positive my April fools chapter went), and then I've got 2 other monster MC story ideas brewing. Too many ideas, not enough time...

Speaking of which... when Bookbound Bunny book 1 finishes I'll be taking a 1 MAYBE 2 week break on the Bunny chapters to take a break and sort out some much needed book and life admin.

Syl will continue as per normal during this time, as I'll probably only take a slime break when book 4 finishes.

Anyway enough rambling, thanks as always for your support! Whether you're here for slimy shenanigans or cute moon bunny magic I hope you continue enjoying my stories.

I can’t find anything else as good as Syl, and I would have loved to read more of the Syl April Fools.

I actually joined te patreon for BB, now going through Syl. I think Syl is going to be more popular overall as it's a bit more mainstream, but I found the idea behind BB much more interesting

Came for Syl book 3 since there's no audio book yet. I've been loving the voice actors and story when I'm at work. Please release Sly's third and fourth books on audible as an audio book.

I'll check out book bunny when I catch up with the Syl chapters.

I joined for Syl. Just finally got around to BBB and binged it. I may have to change my vote now as I am def enjoying both!

A little late but here’s my 2 cents: I’m here for both and will definitely give any other works you publish a try. But I am the kind of reader who struggles to stay with a series for a really long time (unless I can binge it all in a relatively short time). Replacing supporting characters to make room for new side-shows or adding complexity to an existing character is the most reliable way to keep me interested in a series. Or wrap it up and start something new — I’ve always been fond of good endings and new stories. Syl is getting to a point where Syl and Vee alone aren’t quite doing it for me anymore and the elves are a bit of a letdown for me. I do have high hopes for the crab so I hope we get to that arc soonish. I don’t see how you could reasonably wrap it up anytime soon. The bunny is at a good point where you could wrap up but it’s far too early to do so. So much potential for the school ark, me thinks. It’s also a nice balance of normal life and fighting; neither the grim battle epics that currently dominate RR nor the very cozy counterpoint but something in between. I like that.

I started with Syl, but then lost interest when I usually do for progression fantasies. When the main character of a progression fantasy gets to demi-god power levels I tend to drop it. Considering bunny is not there yet, and doesn't seem to be going there anytime soon I like that one better.

I joined for syl then tried BBB but I could only get to chap.37 due to the slow pacing, it just became boring.

Bookbound didn't have the hook for me, I will give it a try after book 1 is completed

I haven't gotten to reading BBB yet. I usually just stop by for the occasional small syl binge.

I read syl on RR but I joined here for more Lily.
