Composing for Dungeons & Dragons
Added 2020-11-08 03:39:34 +0000 UTCMany of you have been following our Dungeons & Dragons campaign, so you know that I've been composing music with my kalimba as a part of my character (Tiefling Bard).
I went ahead and recorded the most recent - Ode to Life - which I wrote in honor of the death of Selenas. (he was pretty cool. I miss him.)
This isn't really fancy or finely produced - just me and my kalimba, and a little reverb. :-) I took inspiration from a poem by Langston Hughes, and added a few of my own. Here's the original poem:
“Life is for the living.
Death is for the dead.
Let life be like music.
And death a note unsaid.”
I may add regular recordings like this as a part of a Patron tier in the future - but for now, I'm just sending it to you all. <3

I dunno, maybe a Fairy Godmother type. Your voice is so majestic…with the bells playing, I’m not even kidding, if Disney ever does a live action Nightmare Before Christmas, you ABSOLUTELY NEED TO BE IN IT. The soundtrack, all of it. It’s hauntingly beautiful. Oh…and we’re the world’s biggest Disney-aholics, so hearing this made my inner Disnerd poke out. 🤷♂️😂🤣😂 But LOVE the track!! ❤️ EDIT: I can’t believe it took me a second take to remember that Sally has red hair!! You’re a perfect fit!!
