AoAS - Issue 05 - Page 06

This page has been a nightmare to work on, but I think I've just twigged it. First things first - I love discussing my work with y'alls and genuinely believe that feedback is a fast way to improve. You're all welcome to strike up a conversation with me any time - it's been truly awesome getting to know Ranger Squad (stream watchers). The feedback I got from a couple of leaving patrons about the story moving threw me a bit to be honest. I'd kinda just been taking that part for granted so I did what I usually do - assess it and changing things up if needed. I "write" (read: doodle) each issue before I start (which is why I distract you with colour cover pages for a week). I agreed with the feedback so tried to combine 3 pages into one as I was getting over ambitious with the story details (eromancers - derive their powers from sexual energies, dude in the mask is a captive as well, the creepy mask itself, jokes about shy virgin Aly finding out that Elli enjoys sex. A lot.) This left me stumped and repeatedly redrawing panels. I did the bottom half of the page 6 times.
Anyway! Alynnya returns Wednesday with Page 07 - I'm gonna try again with colour page this week. If it's doable while doing my business set-up stuff then we'll go back to colour.

Thanks mate :) I love drawing the smutty pages but I get a real kick out of trying to make them amusing as well. There's myriad serious, grim or darker themed comics / hentai / doujinshi out there and (arrogantly) I like to to think the humourous moments set AoAS apart a bit :)

2017-03-13 13:04:49 +0000 UTCLove all of your work. I find this particularly funny because all of the back round characters seem to be impatient; the Interigater, her friend, the"vessel" (though he is probably hiding it better), just hits me as funny for some reason. Still, Keep up the good work.

2017-03-13 03:22:07 +0000 UTCCheers, bro! I'm a sucker for all things Evil Dead - I even met Bruce Campbell! Too awesome. I really like doing the jokes, especially on the darker pages like this one. That's given me an idea, actually. The Evil Dead part and not the bit about "darker" themed pages.

I've missed almost all the streaming sessions so I have no idea what kind of conversations and back-story I've missed out on. Sigh. "Just blow him and let's get out of here!" You can't see my standing applause, but please accept that I am standing before my computer monitor and clapping. My neighbors now have another reason to think I'm insane. They're not wrong.
