This is the first part of a new series: The Wizard Bank. Part 1 is the public foyer area. It is super opulent with massive glass windows, fancy emerald carpets and immense jade statues.
Queue up here and sign a lot of paper work and pay your gold and maybe they'll let you store your most valuable items in the magically protected vaults.
Although the 'vault' door is visible, in our headcanon it's a decoy. Criminals believe the vault door can be opened and on the other side sits the treasures, but not so. Different spells attune the vault door differently and when opened create portals to different planar banks. When you cross over into the right portal there's a series of defence mechanisms before you reach the real vault door, wherein lies the treasure.
In the next map in this series we'll explore what's on the other side of that portal and the weird things kept within the wizard bank.
We made several variations of this and also made a version of each variation without the vault door at all, in case you want to make this into some other sort of opulent magical building, like a transport hub!
