Added 2020-01-21 15:59:01 +0000 UTCHey everyone! We're back already with another set of maps! This week we made a whole set of different airships for you to use, including some classic steampunk blimps, the Elemental Airships of Eberron as well as something a bit inter-planar.
Directly after this post goes up we're releasing a new collaborative 1st level 5e adventure using these maps. It is set in the world of Omeria and is the first of many in a continuing saga we'll be releasing this year! Please go take a look at that exciting new venture!

I realize I am four and a half years late to the party. But, do these exist anywhere with the roofs intact?

2024-07-24 00:49:07 +0000 UTCI've been using this map a lot in my campaign, as the party has acquired their own ship and this is the map I used for it. I really wish there was some concept art or something to go along with this that showed the ship from the side. It's also a bit unfortunate that there isn't a map piece for the upper section at the stern.

2022-09-20 20:46:27 +0000 UTCI know this is maybe a bit of a stretch to ask but is there a way to have the elemental hull but without the canons ? I tried to mix together the transparent transport hull and default hull but with the ring glow, it's... not great.

Right now it's tricky to customize though - there's enough incidental detail in the lower-deck maps that if a DM wanted to adjust or add assets, they'd have to photoshop out a lot of stuff. Even a version that had the stables cleaned out and replaced with a few empty rooms would be a lot more workable, as a base for a DM to build a non-combat airshop on top of.

2021-06-06 19:09:18 +0000 UTCThere's always a balance with maps, if we make them emptier it might feel impractical or not so alive but it allows DMs to customize how they want. If we add in too many details it can make it difficult for DMs to slot into their games. Its a bit of a rock and a hard place, unfortunately.

2021-06-01 19:47:06 +0000 UTCI'm looking at this too, and I love the artwork but the ship itself is pretty...impractical? It's not stuff-dense enough to be a working ship, and not fancy enough to be a luxury ship. I'd love to see a revisit to this one that adjusts the floor plans and makes the ship more useful. I want my PCs to be crew on this as their mobile home base, but it doesn't feel like a very alive ship right now.

2021-01-02 14:28:56 +0000 UTCI'm revisiting these as I get my main campaign ported over to Foundry, and I think the only thing I'd love if you ever come back to update these, is a less cannon-oriented version of the lower deck. Either as more generic rooms or an empty hold we could just put wall assets on to make whatever rooms we need.

I am planning on running 'Flight of the Predator' as an Eberron game, so I was wondering if you had versions of the monster transport version of the airship deck and hull - the one with the monster cages and belowdecks with the pens rather than the cannons - that also had the flaming elemental ring on them? I'd really love to be able to convert the adventure to fit into my Eberron world. Thanks so much! :)

2020-01-22 03:50:20 +0000 UTCYou're right, it's something to do with zoom. When I zoom in even a little bit, the grid is there, but at full size it disappears again entirely. Weird! Won't be an issue when imported into VTT I guess :) Checking the elemental hull vs standard hull, could the crystal be re-coloured to be a flame-like colour, so it fits with the thematic of the ring? I think the coolest thing would be to have some sort of fire elemental in there powering the ship, but naturally that's extra work :(

2020-01-22 01:28:55 +0000 UTCWhen we make the ships with the transparant backgrounds i'll make sure to fix these errors, thank you! Not sure about the grid not rendering as its just a static image. That might be a zoom issue. I think the hull for the Elemental ships would be very similar to the original which is why we didn't include it originally but i can add the flame ring in?

2020-01-22 01:28:20 +0000 UTCLike Victor Hugo, I am also finding some of these ships are mixed up. To help you fix, I compiled the following issues in the $5 rewards : 1. Airship_Original_Deck_Storm Gridded and Ungridded are mixed up 2. Airship_Spelljammer_Deck Gridded and Ungridded are mixed up 3. Airship_ElementalEngine_Hull_Night Appears to show the deck again, not the hull for both gridded and ungridded versions. 4. I noticed that some of the gridded maps start to render with the grid visible, and then the grid disappears after around .5 seconds or so. No other maps from your other collections have done that. I *really* wanna see the hull for the elemental ships, and since I'm playing Storm King's Thunder you've created these marvellous ships in perfect timing!
